  1. It really isn’t as impressive as you might think. Preprogrammed drink recipes, ingredients hanging over the prep area, arm holds a cup under the appropriate bottle & presses the cup up to dispense. Shake it up a little & put it in a slot.
  2. We parked the car at 10:45, walked to the outside security line, one family ahead of us, we all had our documents open and in our hands, no fumbling with our phones or in bags or pockets, out and ready to be verified, walked right in to the next check point, same result, no line, documents checked quickly. “Thank you, the waiting area is to the right, enjoy your cruise. Boarding started about 15 minutes later. IMHO those lines are more often than not caused by clueless or thoughtless passengers who can’t be bothered to know what they need to be processed quickly.
  3. Our terminal experience in March was car to suites waiting area in less than 15 minutes. First check in time, no waiting at any point.
  4. Bionic bar was included on Harmony. Drink was awful & I threw it away after 1 sip. Don’t really get the fascination.
  5. In CT here, white screen for 3 days now. I like the file change idea. Whenever our IT dept said we were getting an update that would have “no effect” on our user programs, we all cringed at how much would not work for days/weeks while they fixed what the update screwed up. Wasn’t supposed to do that!! And yet…
  6. Been trying on my iPhone, no luck. Emailed my TA & dumped it on her.
  7. My husbands favorite bartender was on rising tide. He sat there for a ride or two every night.
  8. Well the first is “formal” night, the second is “dress your best”. There are many opinions on exactly what that means.
  9. FWIW, on Harmony we found the water served, for example in CK & MDR, tasted just fine. I had no issue just asking for a glass of ice water anywhere.
  10. Think OP meant why would one book a cruise out of Barbados not why is Royal embarking from there. And damned if I know.
  11. IMHO, the best way to ruin a vacation is to spend time trying to maximize the value of a prepaid item. Not saying you shouldn’t look into what’s available just that you shouldn’t make yourself nuts over it!
  12. Pattycruise, you do know the at home tests are rapid antigen not PCR?
  13. Based on that link and my “sale” observations, it will be the same old same old. Hadn’t been an actual sale for any of my cruises in a very long time.
  14. Tell them “you get to go on a cruise, deal with it!!”
  15. No different than booking 4 in a hotel room really. You get sleep space for 4 not 4 separate sleep spaces.
  16. Happened to my son (not on a cruise). His son tested positive just before Xmas. My son’s company required a 14 day quarantine (ridiculous especially because son never tested positive). Gets 1 week covid pay, nothing for the second week. Goes back to work for a week and his daughter comes down with it. She is able to go back to school 5 days later but he’s out for another 2 weeks this time with no pay at all. And he still never tested positive!! Tried to apply for unemployment for the three missing weeks but was rejected. Just a mess.
  17. So sorry, you have to be so careful with your things these days. I hope you get lucky & some honest person turns it in.
  18. Suite all the way. You won’t believe how small a balcony cabin will feel by day 3!
  19. Is the Bistro open now? Was not on Harmony in March.
  20. When my daughter first moved away to Florida 10+ years ago, I would stockpile toiletries that I got on sale & bring them down to her. It was my excuse to visit! Typically would have 10-15 full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. TSA opened my bags every trip (no idea what they thought I was doing). So I stopped bothering with the TSA locks. I use heavy duty twist ties to keep the bags from popping open & leave the rest to God & the TSA.
  21. Aww I used to love reading the Unofficial Guide!! What a fun read! 20+ visits later, I feel like I could write one myself
  22. It’s actually easier to stay at a hotel near MCO then shuttle to the port in the morning. No beach but some very nice hotels with very nice pool areas.
