Yeah..I was pretty excited for it too..must have just been the cruise I was on....but yes, defn a bust. Empty and dead and terrible drinks....no one wanted to go or stay there...its too bad.
 
Playmakers was a hit.....although it may have been more about the World Series being on there than anything else...but the drinks and food were both good there and a cool place to hang out for sure.

all it takes is an inexperienced bartender to ruin it for everyone.  That's like a chef....you can have the best dinning experience at a venue only to return under another chef and have the worst.

Bamboo room was a bust on this cruise....its not going to stay viable for long in its current status...
 
It was dead...drinks were terrible...some were charged extra here for drinks and some weren't (all had the drink package)......none of us EVER finished a drink here...or better  to state that none of us had more than 1-2 sips before leaving them and going elsewhere...
 
It's too bad..its got a cool feel and vibe...but it was defn a miss for this cruise at least.
 
All the drinks we had were the drinks from the menu and none were pre-mixed.....and tasted terrible.

By the way.... Mariner of the Seas gets to dock in the new Terminal A tomorrow in Miami.
We will be the FIRST ship to ever dock there. Kinda cool...

Thank you for posting these. I will be on a 3 day but these are still helpful. I've read that the Bamboo room has different drinks there that are not premixed. have you found that to be true and if so can you list some of their special drinks? Thank you again

It's nice not having to bring dress up clothes, trying to get rid of wrinkles, changing in and then out of them after dinner.  Cuba was hot in July.  
I'm all for "Wear Your Best".  It worked quite well on Mariner.  Some people went all out, some didn't.

I think I've got my outfit picked out for my next formal night

Yes, you can be done by then.  On Harmony, our dining took about an hour to an hour fifteen although the first night was longer (seems everything takes longer that first night).  I would just tell your wait staff when you are seated that you would like to be done by 7:15.  That way its fair to them and sets the expectation up front. They can hurry up the kitchen if necessary.  Worst case scenario is you skip dessert and head to WJ later.
