  1. Its been awhile since we've been on the Oasis but just about all the ships have an unlimited Texas poker table. In our experience it doesn't get much activity till late at night...Well except for the tournaments the casino will run during the day.
  2. They started that on the second week of our B2B on the Explorer of the Seas last November. When we didn't get them the second week, we asked our room attendant and she explained it was a new policy and they weren't putting them in the rooms anymore and to use the app. We thought it was stupid and asked her if we could request it and she was more then happy to make sure we had it. We will be on the Odyssey the 3rd of next month...So I guess we will see.
  3. People in the windjammer taking food…Taking a bite and then putting it back. Actually happened and one of the workers had to remove the whole container of food People vaping in the theater…Thinking no one would notice. Someone not waiting for people to get off an elevator before getting on. People playing their music on Bluetooth speakers loud enough for the whole ship to hear.
  4. Still has lots of dead coral and seashells but your right…If you try and take them back on the ship and they see them on the X-ray, they will confiscate them. But for some reason if they are in your pockets…No problem's
  5. We absolutely love Labadee!!! It's nothing fancy but it is a great relaxing beach day...No locals wondering the beach pestering you to purchase trinkets like some other beach stops. It is like CocoCay used to be before it got commercialized...Except there are no Chickens running around the island like there use to be on CocoCay. Psycho loves the snorkeling off Nellies Beach. We have done the zip line a couple of times and loved it and would recommend trying it at least once. We do agree the food choices could be improved.
  6. We also bring a small pharmacy with us...Even though the items might be available onboard...The prices are too much for us
  7. Chairs and umbrellas are available at all Labadee beaches for free but some beach's fil up fast. We always try and be the first ones off the ship and hurry to our favorite beach to get our preferred spot.
  8. We do tip the guy if we want ours moved and set up somewhere.
  9. We had a lot of our cruise canceled due to Covid and we took the FCC. Keeping track of all the FCC was a nightmare. We would apply a certain amount to a new cruise but for some reason Royal would only apply the amount they wanted and reissue us a new FCC...Or they wouldn't apply an FCC at all for some strange reason. Our only saving grace was our TA...He tracked all our FCC's, ensured they were applied correctly and made sure we got to use them all. We will only book a cruise by using a TA.
  10. We leave a package of plastic straws in our luggage so we won't forget them for our next cruise. On our last cruise we had a lady ask us where we got a plastic straw from...Said she couldn't find one any where on the ships. So I guess we are smugglers...Lol
  11. We always bring more then we think we will need and how much we bring depends on the cruise itinerary...Bring the leftover cash home. We prefer to have enough cash to do or buy whatever we might want and not have to use a credit card.
  12. If your a smoker, the cigarettes' are cheaper then most stores in the states.
  13. Might not be looking good for us making our 13 Night Mountain Resort Experience Cruisetour 2CA (Post Tour) on the Serenade this June. We knew it might not happen when we booked with all the Covid stuff but we really want to see the Canadian Rockies. Guess time will tell.
  14. Yes you can and many people do. On sea days, we stay in our beach attire until it's time to get ready for dinner. Most bathing suits are made out of quick drying material so most people continue their day. We always take two towels each off the ship with us. One to dry off with and one to sit on on. Some taxi's will have plastic seat covers and don't mind wet customers but will appreciate you sitting on a towel...The others will insist on you sitting on a towel. We don't change after a beach day but will put on a coverup or tee shirt before we head back to the ship.
  15. The key is to...Check your Cruise Planner...Check your Cruise Planner...Check your Cruise Planner. We don't understand why or how, but every once in a while we find a cheaper price. No sales or buy one and get 50% off...It just appears...Maybe its a glitch but we check our Cruise Planners a few times every week. By continually checking our planner, we learn what our base price is for that cruise. If we see it cheaper we cancel and rebuy it.
  16. We have been on the Oasis three times and went to to see Cat's the first time...Got up and left at intermission. I'm sure some cruisers out there love it but we did not. I'll take the heat for this comment...It's been needing to be replaced from the opening night.
  17. We always use a backpack that allows us to carry towels, sunblock and anything else we might need for our excursion. We secure the backpack to our chair/lounger at the beach using the quick release straps on the backpack. It won't stop a thief but prevents a thief from just walking by and grabbing the backpack and walking away. We have seen commercial locks and cables for securing backpacks. At Dunn River Falls we did use the available lockers and had no problems.
  18. His doctor used both a Rapid and a PCR...Both were positive. I'm still trying to figure out how I was not infected.
  19. Two weeks ago, one of my son came to hunt with me and stayed in my two bedroom deer camp for three days. Claimed he had a head cold and tried to assure me he didn't have Covid...Tested positive for Covid on Monday, the day after he left camp...We didn't wear masks or social distance. I never caught it but I did self isolate for 5 days and tested negative two times. I am vaccinated and boosted. They couldn't or didn't tell my son what type of Covid he had...Only he was positive.
  20. We were flying into Quebec City for a 13 Night Snowbird Migration Cruise one day early and our flight...The last flight of the day from Ottawa to Quebec had already taken off before we had taken off from Orlando. We had to rent a car at Ottawa and drive to Quebec to make the cruise. We always fly in a day early but sometimes that might not be early enough.
  21. We use to toss ours also but we have learned our local Senior Living Center will accept them and hand them out as prizes for Bingo...Supposedly its a big hit with the Seniors.
  22. Second shot date unless you got the J&J vaccine
  23. We tend to avoid Guest Services because there always seems to be long lines.
  24. Can't remember the tour but it was in Jamaica and our bus stopped at a scenic overview for pictures. An older gentleman had a split 55 gal drum he had converted into a barbeque. He had the best Jerked Chicken I've ever eaten. Got my mouth watering just thinking about it!!!
