I have always assumed they were gifted Pinnacle status but don't know for sure. -
Anyone stayed here? Oasis Ultimate Panoramic Suite
twangster replied to 12thman's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I had one booked and did a lot of research. I was eagerly waiting for the cruise confident my 2022 sail date would be spared from the pandemic but then Royal chartered the ship on that date and they cancelled my cruise. Ugh. When the latest round of Oasis bookings were opened I had to choose between the UP on deck 14 forward and the GPS on deck 17. Both are Star Class and both were relatively close in price on that day. I love being close to the SL and CK and I do like having a balcony so I booked the GPS and let the UP go. Right next door to the UP Suites are a bunch of 1L Panoramic Ocean View that are not suites and substantially less expensive yet they have the same forward views from above the bridge. If its the view you seek, look for some reviews of the 1L cabins. -
During this shutdown any free TA cruises have been hard earned.

I've stayed there several times. If the hotel comes back, so will I. -
allure returns in 2026 All Things Galveston
twangster replied to Galveston Steve's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
She is due for a technical drydock to get routine mandatory marine maintenance performed. I'm guessing shipyard availability has been impacted by the virus with some work taking longer and schedules for a number of ships being impacted. The changing availability of space in shipyards is likely causing new plans to be considered for all ships, i.e. cargo, container, tanker and cruise ships. The dust may not be settled on a Liberty shipyard visit in July so they may be waiting for greater confidence in the plan before committing to a change.- 971 replies

I have thought about it forever...

Or placed under "People Connect". It doesn't really matter to me but since we are sharing opinions...

I've come to realize I'd make a bad TA. Everytime a client asked for a cruise booking I'd be like... "That's a nice cruise. I better book that one too!". Then I'd be on cruises all the time and never available to service my clients.

I thought thats the side they put celebrities on.

Even better! I've had holiday cruises where they didn't offer the UDP so I have no experience trying to use the UDP on such. Let us know how it goes.

Given that you can cancel it for a refund that is a safe approach but my gut tells me it won't sell out before boarding. However if you desire a specific night and time that is a solid approach if you don't mind tying up your money for a year+.

Everyone needs ample quantities of water on a daily basis.

If Americans are willing to drink something like Bud Light and call it beer then a few temporary symptoms from a vaccine are nothing.

I just make stuff up.

I also suspect it's easier for them when away from land to stay clear of other vessels. It's harder to stay clear and maneuver around other ships when a coastline is close by. Neither ship can turn towards land to avoid the other. There are often more small vessels closer to shore including pleasure boats. Given the ports are relatively close to each other, getting away from land gives them some room to work should another ship cross paths. A slow speed of 6 knots makes for a stable ship with little perceived motion on board. Away from land they can perform slow, wide turns in the open sea at night.

Teppanyaki on Odyssey of the Seas
twangster replied to Cruising With JT's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
All Oasis class do. They call it Izumi Hibachi. The close name to Izumi has been a source of confusion. They use the same space, regular Izumi to left, Hibachi to the right. When on the ship if you call for a reservation the first question is always "Hibachi or sushi?". Freedom, Indy and Mariner also have Teppanyaki ... I mean Izumi Hibachi. Spectrum and Odyssey are the first to use the name Teppanyaki. -
I have some opinions on the infinite verandah but have kept an open mind thinking maybe there is some aspect I'm missing.

I've seen this only once before. The app has always been in a sort of "nearly there" status. I take everything in the app with a large side of salt (water).

I used to be addicted to the hokey pokey. Then I turned myself around.

I've been following along. Such a shame. Puts the city in a pickle doesn't it? -
No, just be aware of this trend on Celebrity. It's not something a Royal guest has encountered short of the suite lounge or suite sun deck on Oasis class.

In most cases they still go at least 15 miles out so they can open stores and the casino plus make water and cycle the storage tanks.
