  1. Good luck and I hope that everything works out and you guys have a absolutely WONDERFUL cruise!!!
  2. Ok I know that this is more than one, but the cheap over the door shoe hanger is an absolute must!!! Saves quite a bit of space in the bathroom, and while I am on that subject Poo-Pourri is another absolute must!!! Not going to go in great detail about that product but the stuff absolutely works and the stuff is a game changer. Strong magnets are another wonderful item to add because the walls are metal, and it is wonderful to have the extra hooks from time to time!
  3. Come on hurry up guys!! I loved CocoCay the way that it was and actually against what they were doing to it UNTIL seeing it for the first time a few weeks ago. I am actually looking forward to our return soon!! I know its going to be absolutely AMAZING!!!
  4. I am not a show individual but the wife is, that being said I am a show person by default!? We see most shows on most ships that we have been on, and I honestly as of yet have not seen one that I really did not care for, UNTIL seeing "The Gift" I do not fault the actors as I have already said I fault the writers! I doubt even being heavily intoxicated would help!!!?I do not remember seeing this one on TV in the room, it would have been perfect to put me to sleep at night!
  5. No “The Gift” is still alive and well! We saw it two weeks ago on Anthem and it is still as horrible as ever!?
  6. Have to agree with @AGSLC5 burgers were great, and the buns were amazing! I only had a burger there but I would gladly put it up there with Johnny Rockets or a burger from Red Robin. Maybe I was just too hungry or maybe it was just that good! ?
  7. OMG, one of the crew was talking about the show and he told us to close our eyes when the flashing and the dragon come out and open them towards the end of the show. I have to say that he was absolutely right! We were talking to quite a few people and we all were confused! What in the world did the dragon, being in a train station, and someone doing BMX tricks have to do with what the gift was? The acting was good for the show but the writing was absolutely horrible, when you loose most of the audience that isn't a good thing! It was almost like they threw several pieces of several other completely different shows together and expected a good outcome.
  8. We had an great time on our cruise on Anthem but there were several things that were a bit disorganized, and I also have to say that I have NEVER been asked more times during a cruise to upgrade our dining package, I understand that they are trying to sell a product and that they may also be trying to make money but, we have never been asked more times. I would provide a polite "no thank you" and on several occasions it still was not good enough. They rescheduled our shows, because they said that they had cancelled several showings only to find that the shows that they moved were going at the times I had booked them for prior to boarding. For us it was small annoyances and would not allow that small stuff to keep us from sailing on her again! We had a great time but we did notice some disorganization on the cases mentioned as well as a few more that we had to deal with.
  9. I know that I was able to book our entertainment within the 90 day window without any issues......not sure why it is taking so long for you to be able to book them! Spectras Cabaret was the best of the three by far!!
  10. I have not been in anything higher than a JS, but the way that I figure is if the cost to upgrade is far cheaper than booking another cruise than it is worth it. We just got off of Anthem and the cost to upgrade from a balcony to a JS was only $600 total for the both of us, to me that was money well spent since we could not book another cruise with that amount of money and we got the double cruise points. For the price that you are talking about I do not think that it is worth it whatsoever! I know that I could easily book another cruise with that cash or have one wonderful trip spending half the amount you would spend on that suite elsewhere! Stay in your original room and just use the money that you would spend on that suite to book another cruise!!!?
  11. Did it a few weeks ago, and I was very impressed! Fastest and easiest disembarkation yet! There was a line of about 50 in front of us and the line literally NEVER stopped moving in NJ, we were through the line and driving out of the parking garage in about 15 minutes at the absolute MOST! You spend maybe 5 seconds staring at the screen before they let you through and you are done!
  12. Parked at the port and we have used www.goportcanaveral.com with absolutely amazing results, it took about an hour longer round trip but saved quite a bit of money using them. We stayed in a 4 star hotel before the stay and had parking and a shuttle both ways. It was a 5 day cruise over Christmas last year and only paid $140 for everything, well worth it!
  13. I know, I am crazy but I would do it! I would love to see Antartica, as far as my belief about the world not being flat......as hard as I KNOW it would be I would just keep my mouth shut and enjoy my cruise! One thing for sure is I also know that I would have to isolate myself more than normal to keep away from the ignorance.
  14. I have read on several boards and seen several videos where they say that power strips are a "must have" item, thankfully just like @Andrew72681 has stated I use an Anker USB hub which provides just what we need. I am grateful that they mistook the wife's hair straightener for a power strip one cruise otherwise I never would have known and would be waiting to pick up some items from the table of shame!
  15. We just got off of Anthem last week, we ate in the MDR two of the nights and all of the rest of the nights we ate in Coastal Kitchen and as you stated it was absolutely amazing! I would almost book a suite just to be able to eat there again! Wife did not want to go there at first because it was something new, after we ate there one night and went back to the MDR on night 3 she was asking me to make reservations for the rest of the week. Even if there is something that they have on the menu that is in the MDR it is still much better in CK than in the MDR. Had several items that we had in the MDR one of the two nights and it was definitely upgraded. An absolute amazing experience and I absolutely loved every dish we had!
  16. OMG, we just were saying this a few days ago, how about they just skip Nassau completely and stay in CocoCay for those two days? That would be one cruise that I would sign up for REAL fast!
  17. Was able to talk the wife on doing a 4 day out of Tampa on Brilliance this December, I love Cozumel and yes it is the exact same cruise we did a few years ago but we both know that we will enjoy it. I really wish that we could leave Tampa and head to Key West and then on to Cozumel, but I am not complaining one bit!
  18. I had this issue last week just prior to us sailing on the 30th, thankfully it cleared up JUST long enough for me to screen shot our set sail pass, which is all I needed. After the screen shot I tried to verify our Cruise Compass and got the message that @mworkman is currently getting.
  19. We just got off Anthem yesterday and my piece of advice is to try the first day, we were onboard around 11 on the 30th of March and walked right up to everything without an issue and without reservations. Lines were pretty non existent and grew only longer as the cruise grew shorter so we were glad to get it in early.
  20. We did Majesty last year over Christmas, the cruise itself was a bit pricey for the size of room that we ended up with but we all agree that we would gladly do it again. The ship was almost at capacity but it did not seem like it whatsoever (outside of the Windjammer when we first got onboard as well as for our last breakfast onboard). There were kids but no more than when we cruise during sprig break, we have a set of twins and there was plenty for them to do to keep them busy. The ship itself was completely decked out, and they did celebrate Christmas in a big way, there was singing, shows, Christmas movies, a special Christmas menu that was far bigger than normal and if you did not find something that you liked then you had no business being on the ship! Did not realize it but Christmas day I guess it was custom to wear your Christmas PJ's to breakfast, as there were quite a few people that were dressed up in them onboard during breakfast and lunch. The Christmas spirit was definitely alive on that ship and we had an amazing time, what made it even better was that there was no clean up, and it was by far one of the best that I have had in awhile. We did not notice anything special in the ports as the only two that we did was Nassau and CocoCay and there was nothing special that was done in either of the two. If you are on the fence about booking a holiday cruise then please hop off of the fence and book it!! I can tell you that if I could get most of my family to sail with us at Christmas I can assure you that I would not do another one on land for quite a few years. (YES it was that amazing, even having four people in a 120 sq. ft. room)
  21. We have only had three booked at once, and unfortunately due to the wife looking for a new job our vacation future is uncertain. We literally JUST got off of Anthem this morning and booked one for December with the kids. Once she finds the job that she wants and in a spot she wants we will be back to doing at least 2-3 per year, depending on her vacation package. As I have said before my worst day at sea is ALWAYS better than my best day at work!?
  22. Thank you for your post! I had been wondering, and the wife and I have had quite a few talks about it! Now that I know what to expect, I will still choose a cruise vs all inclusive. I just know that for me it’s going to be my personal preference. You just helped me make up my mind!!?
  23. We will be there Apr 2nd and are looking forward to being able to walk on the dock vs tender! Can not wait to get into the pool!!!
  24. Absolutely, let just say that I have my addiction and there is absolutely nothing that they can send me to make me change my mind. (Within reason of course.....) But just because of one accident or incident or the few things that happen per year it is not enough for me to change my mind. There are FAR more accidents on the streets per day than incidents at sea, and I do not see too many people sending articles out about how horrendous it is for people to drive on streets or highways.
