  1. Check out the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau. You can get day passes there, and the tickets cheaper from resortforaday.com Matt visited there on a recent sailing: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/04/03/excursion-focus-british-colonial-hilton-nassau-bahamas
  2. Any deck with aft-facing chairs; grab a plate of cheese, crackers etc from the WJ, glass of wine, and sit and watch the wake.
  3. Thanks! We're on her next April - I can't wait! We haven't sailed on something that small since the mid 90s. ?
  4. Thanks for sharing your trip with us and answering all my questions!!
  5. You have a choice between three dining options: Traditional early or late, or my time dining. Traditional early is 5:30 on this ship. So we would go to the 9pm shows. The early dinner seating goes to the late shows, and the late dinner seating goes to the early shows. My time dining goes to either, based on your dinner time that particular evening.
  6. So my in-cabin Voom will be iffy at best. We will definitely put your travel router as close to the door as possible to get the best signal in the room/balcony. Thanks for checking!!
  7. If you happen to be passing by 9306 can you let me know if there is one of those wifi thingys near my cabin? I asked Ron and he said he'd check...but you know Ron...LOL
  8. I'm on Adventure this month and was able to do the waivers online awhile ago, before the new website.
  9. That's crazy security. I guess your American passport wasn't required at that point? Otherwise they'd know you weren't from Europe...hee hee
  10. My kids were booked in their own room when they were 15 & 17, connecting to ours, and it was Royal who put them there. We were all four in one room, and they upgraded us to two connecting rooms and moved the two of them into the new booked room. So I think it's not as much of an issue than it reads as is.
  11. It's already been moved from June to the Fall, so we'll see!
  12. Later this month meaning May 11 or May 18? We're on May 18!
  13. British Colonial Hilton is in walking distance from the ship. @Matt did a full review of it here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/04/03/excursion-focus-british-colonial-hilton-nassau-bahamas His kids are not that far off in age from yours, so may be the perfect fit for you. I don't have any help for the other three ports. Sorry. ?
  14. We used it last September and it was great. We bypassed the huge line and got in a tiny one. We actually didn't even download it until we went to pick up our luggage and saw the line. Downloaded it quickly, entered all our info, and then joined the shorter line. We still had to show our original passports, and they didn't even look at the mobile app. But man what a line we skipped!!
  15. I've been watching the coffee card for two sailings, six months apart, for as long as each has appeared in my Cruise Planners and they have never changed in price. Not even during Black Friday sales when pretty much everything is on sale.
  16. Have fun! You'll love cruising!
  17. You can find some great magnet hooks here: https://shop.cruisehabit.com/collections/cabin-comforts
  18. We got one in 2015 on Quantum. We had four of us in a balcony room, and our TA got a call offering us 2 connecting balconies for 2 for no additional cost. So of course, we took it!
  19. Go back and re-read Resting Bird's comment; said MAX $500, not MIN. So you can put in up to $500, your account will draw form that. If you use it all, then you can add more. I don't knwo if that $500 max is correct or not, but that is what the comment said.
  20. We eat primarily vegetarian AND gluten-free, so Mary my options are pretty much fruit and salad. We also avoid dairy as much as possible. At least on the menu posted above, your daughter has some options. I'd like to see more vegetable based options; I can't eat pasta for a week.
  21. We got an amazing surprise call from our TA when we cruised on Quantum in 2015. The actual upgrade fairy paid a visit! RCCL called the TA to offer us an extra balcony room at no charge. We had four of us in one balcony room, so they offered us two connecting balconies that held two each at no additional cost. So the kids had one room and we had the other, we opened the balcony divider and it was AMAZING. Swore we'd never sail with the four of us in one cabin again. So what have we done? We have four of us in a junior suite on our next cruise, then we're doing for in a balcony next year for the Anthem group cruise. We're soooo not going to like it! LOL
  22. Our first cruise was on the three month old Majesty of the Seas in August 1992. It was our honeymoon and we wanted to do something special, but wasn't sure what. We visited a travel agent who suggested we try a cruise, that it's perfect for honeymooners. Not sure how we picked Majesty over any other ship or cruise line, it may have been as simple as she left on the right day. I remember getting picked up at our hotel at 5:45 am for the ride to the airport, flying to Florida the day of the cruise. Majesty was huge, still smelled new. It was an amazing trip and we were instantly hooked on cruising. We had an inside cabin and had no idea what we were missing by not being able to see the ocean. The entertainment was fantastic; the Fifth Dimension performed one night, and Jerry Van Dyke was our headliner. We were so excited to sit near him and his wife one day in the dining room. We were very impressed by the nightly midnight buffet, the towel animals and the big honeymooners party the ship threw for the group. We made friends with the strangers we were seated with at dinner, all much older than us, and exchanged addresses so we could keep in touch after the cruise. We did exchange holiday cards for quite a few years with them. By the end of the week, we were thinking about where we wanted to cruise for our one year anniversary. Over twenty-five years later...cruising has changed dramatically but at the same time has changed so little. We still love it and will continue to cruise for as long as we can.
