  1. I think we might be on your sailing and we are still waiting to see if our bids get accepted. We bid just a bit lower than your so fingers crossed.
  2. We've been keeping an eagle eye out for these options to appear on the Cruise Planner, but so far we have not seen them for our Oct 10th cruise. At what point before sailing do they typically appear? Show reservations were open several weeks ago and I guess I thought they would show up at around the same time. Would love to have these checked off the list before we board and not have to worry about it.
  3. We're on a 9 night Canadian in the Fall on the Anthem. I wanted to get a good sampling of specialties without planning specialties every night. I wasn't sure this was possible, but the Cruise Planner allowed me to do this option. I booked and paid for the BOGO AND the 3 Night Package--seemingly for a total of 5 nights of specialty dining. Is RC going to renege on this or is this legit? I recognize that I will need to wait until I get on board to make any actual reservations.
  4. We're on Harmony in a few weeks and I'm trying to figure out how to do the activity waiver ahead of time. We did this during online check-in last year before our Oasis cruise but I think I was prompted to do it. This time I never noticed a prompt when doing the online check-in. Did I miss it? Anyone know where it's located. BTW, the RCI's new website is driving me nuts.
  5. Has anyone done one of the post cruise tours of Miami? As many times as I've flown in and out of Miami for cruises or trips, I've never actually seen the city. We've got a later flight out on our go home day, so we're thinking about adding this on, especially since they hold our bags and return us right to the airport (FLL). And there are a few different options, too. I would appreciate any tips/suggestions or stories from experience.
  6. It is a direct flight and we are going a day early, so I'm leaning toward doing it. Not worried about the other poster who's friend was displaced because of snow, that won't happen on a late March afternoon. That would have affected all the other airlines, too.
  7. I've been monitoring airfare for several months for our March cruise on the Harmony and I'm surprised at how high it has been. ATL to FLL. With baggage fees and extras it's way over $400 per person on every line EXCEPT for SPIRIT, which comes in much lower, even when purchasing checked bags ahead of time. I'm a little hesitant to book SPIRIT because of all the horrible reviews, especially since we'll have our 3 kids with us. Anyone have experience on SPIRIT that can give me courage? It would save us almost $600 total and it's a pretty short flight. Hoping someone can talk me into it.
  8. We have a later flight out of FLL and I know it's a short trip over to the airport from the port terminal. Our flight doesn't leave until 5:00 pm. Hate to have five kids sitting in the airport all day so I'll take all the extra ship time we can get. Willing to take our luggage off ourselves, whatever makes it easiest. Anyone hid in a lounge before?
  9. I have been on 5 RC cruises, but never eaten in a specialty restaurant. We are die-hard main dining room diners, but I think we're going to give bogo a go on our next cruise. But I'm wondering if all the specialty restaurants were available to choose for our BOGO. Even Wonderland, 150 Central Park and Chops? I've always wondered if they have trouble filling their restaurants on the first couple nights and if this is one of their strategies to solve that. My nightmare is that they book us into the Solarium Bistro, my absolute last choice even beyond the Windjammer, and tell us there's no room to move to another restaurant. I appreciate your shared experiences.
  10. We booked Central Park balconies for our upcoming Oasis cruise in March before the Eat, Drink, Play promotion was announced. I understand that we will still qualify for it and can take advantage of the benefits. BUT, the benefits available to those in the Boardwalk balconies would be much more suitable for our family. Does anyone know if we could mix and match those perks? Anyone tried to do this on an Oasis class ship? Seems like I saw a discussion months ago where someone who said they were just going to ask their room steward if the change could be made but I can't locate that discussion to find out how that went. Thanks for your insight!
