My friend just went from Deck 3 to Deck 9 balcony on Brilliance I’d likely cancel my Royal up. What were you bidding on? Where is your current cabin?

We like it because it’s cooked to order.

First breakfast is a pot of coffee, a bagel and orange juice delivered to the cabin. The juice is for mimosas on the balcony. Second breakfast is MDR on sea days. If no excursion on port day, it’s Johnny Rockets. If we’re rushing to get off, it’s either Windjammer or Park Cafe

Ate at The Foxy Brown last October and it was great. Staying close to the port and looking for a good, local spot.

Me too! I have a few cruises to get out of the way before I can put a deposit down on another lol. I actually woke up last night asking myself if I should book Allure 4 night for Thanksgiving 2023. That would entail getting 3 cabins for the family then ran the math and went back to sleep. If it weren’t for our upcoming Alaska, I’d be booking a group cruise.

Yes. You cannot do your own test at home by yourself. You have to be monitored by a proctor. These tests have an Rx on the box.

My friend is sailing on Brilliance tomorrow and they went from Deck 3 to Deck 9. Upgrade was due to “health guidelines.”

We have a 3 night land tour and coming in day before. Staying at a Hilton with points then will check in at Anchorage Marriott the next day. We will find our own transportation from airport to Hilton.

I bring the “sick bag.” It has a little bit of everything that can take care of whatever.

We have 11 also. We’re leaving the hotel at 10:15 planning to be parked, unloaded and in line by 10:30-ish. I’m not a fan of standing around lol

We’re on Radiance 5/27 and I have us booked through Royal for white pass train with motor coach back. It does say we’ll need passports. Hopefully no Covid test needed

I voted not worth it but then read your post lol I WOULD consider it for a long cruise, especially a TA. Several days at sea would equal more time in my cabin and the extra space would be nice. It’s also nice to possibly eat dinner at Coastal Kitchen. I probably would keep the bid around $300 p/p

Agree! Our daughter will graduate in May from college and has already been hired for post graduate employment. We’re taking her on Radiance to Alaska 2 weeks later and employer graciously agreed to a start date after we get back.

I have already highlighted it for our cruise. I’ll look for next week’s schedule to see if they added more shows. I’m pre-gaming already! I’m Type A and have 2 other couples with us and I’m the designated hitter to plan all evenings.

We had an issue with camera flipping on the iPad. Used our desktop with camera mounted on top of monitor and no problems at all. We will use desktop when we can. Come October if we still have to have negative test from Europe to get back to US, one will hold the phone while the other tests.

Basically you’re paying $400 to eat in coastal kitchen and a bathtub. You won’t get double points. Pass Now if you were originally booked in a JS and got an upgrade offer, that’s different. Keep in mind it’s Alaska. You’ll spend little time in your cabin. Now I’ll confess, I do have a JS on Radiance in Alaska this May. We’re bringing our 22 year old recent college grad with us so the extra room will be nice. It’s also a coveted aft corner balcony.
