  1. I see that it hasn't been reported here but from what I've read on CC, Royal have withdrawn Jewel from Dubai for the 2020/21 season. Can't say that it was surprising, some cruises were selling for less than $200 per person from what I remember. Even a student could easily afford that. Thoughts? Where do you think that Jewel will be going now? NOTE: this does not affect the current Dubai season.
  2. 2 days longer and cheaper should make it a no-brainer. Is LB getting amped before August? They'll have to cancel some cruises by the looks of things if that is the case.
  3. Oasis seems to have one 9 nighter (looks awesome IMO) but what happened to Freedom's NJ summer itineraries? I can't see why they would scrap the 9 night Bermuda and Caribbean itineraries in favour of 4/5 nighters?
  4. Sorry - I don't really hang out on the blog much now so haven't updated the list. From reading the most recent update on CC, Mitch's replacement is still unknown, however, his most recent contract started a few weeks later than scheduled so he may still be on for your cruise. Mitch has a public FB page so it might be worth asking him there? He may have the info.
  5. She is doing 1 sailing to Canada/New England in 2020 - maybe they could incorporate a few more of them into the 2021 itinerary?
  6. Brilliance seems to be missing from Europe and the Caribbean at the Summer but has shown up for the Fall in Canada. I wonder if she is headed to cover in Galveston while Adventure is away.
  7. Surprised that there is no 3/4 night ships in PC during the winter. Surely LB should do the 4/5 nighters instead from Miami or FLL? No San Juan for the Summer at all seems bizarre. Still nothing for Explorer or Independence, now thinking that we'll be getting a 2nd ship in Southampton.
  8. Assuming that Navigator and Mariner stay on the 3/4 night run, that leaves Oasis, Independence, Explorer and Freedom all free in Summer 2021. I wonder where they are all going. I think that Oasis will head back to Bayonne - perhaps OA and AN will rotate seasons in NJ for the foreseeable future? That leaves the other 3. Surprised that Freedom wasn't confirmed for the Summer sailings in San Juan although is there for the Winter.
  9. Loving your vlogs! Have fun on Oasis - an amazing ship and should be even better now that she's been refurbed.
  10. Bad design, overcrowded, creaks a lot and not enough outdoor pool space. Not for me. Interested to see what Odyssey brings to the table but I would never do Anthem again.
  11. Sorry @JLMoran, I've never been to Ireland (as bad as that sounds being a Glaswegian) so I have absolutely no idea about these places. Sounds like a nice trip though - would love to visit Dublin.
  12. Hi all - back from being in hiding for a bit. Just checked the deployment for 2021 in Europe and the only UK based ship is Anthem. Shame that it is only one ship again, and one of the worst in the fleet at that. I had read rumours that Explorer would be in Southampton as a 2nd ship (I wonder where she is going). Also thought that there was a slight chance of Indy returning and I don't get why she is staying in the US given her popularity in Europe. I find it disappointing that there isn't one Freedom Class in Europe (I really want to sail one again) yet there are 2 Quantum Class and 2 Vision Class. Do you think that Southampton will ever go back to 2 ships? I did see a post on CC that hinted at a 2nd ship being announced soon. On a side-note, I'm liking that they've put Adventure in Northern Europe, always like being surprised at a deployment and have wanted to go back to the Baltic for a while.
  13. What a shame! Sailed all 4 of the older sisters and since Oasis Class are the best in the fleet, I really wanted to sail on her. Wish I could do a new ship rather than having to repeat ships, if only Odyssey was an Oasis Class (did they need 5 Quantum Class ships? They were always a polarising class). I will say that the design looks cool.
  14. Found this on CC: 16/05 25/05 03/06 13/09 22/09 01/10 11/10 21/10 02/11 These dates are the dates that Odyssey is registered in Piraeus. Pretty much confirms that Summer 2021 in the Eastern Med is in the cards. I guess that's why Explorer was placed on that run for 2021 as a test run for whether or not there was demand for Odyssey (Jewel had operated that run for 4 years but carries considerably less guests).
  15. Now that the cat is out of the bag and some people are booked, who do we want to be the Cruise Director for Odyssey when she comes out next year? If he doesn't mind leaving Port Canaveral, I would vote for Marc Walker. Bing Bong!
  16. Looking like it will be Explorer with possibly an outside chance of Odyssey.
  17. Why is Johnny Rockets being removed with no additional specialty restaurants? Hoping this doesn't happen on Explorer as well.
  18. Looks like a lot of ships. Glad to see Indy back at Southampton by the looks of things.
  19. Yes - both are due for their 5 year update, as were Navigator, Mariner and Indy when they were amplified. They always kill both birds with ne stone.
  20. Nope - I think VY is next month whereas EX is from March - May 2020.
  21. Voyager is out of service for 5 weeks while Explorer is out of service for 9 weeks so that indicates that she will get more than Voyager.
  22. Fish and Ships seems a bit of an odd choice - I think only Indy got that and that was for the British market. I would probably agree with the others though.
