  1. Someone else may be able to better answer this, but I don’t believe points travel with you. The sailing must be by December 2022. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2021/06/26/royal-caribbean-extends-double-point-offer-through-december-2022
  2. Maybe they had no idea how much some of their cruisers are attached to those crystal blocks. And I’m thankful they were willing to reconsider. ?
  3. It is funny how the smallest of things can lift the spirits. Thanks, @twangsterfor sharing. Made my day! ?
  4. I don’t typically quote pics, but WOOHOO!!!!!!!! ??????????
  5. Sovereign of the Seas in 1993, and we thought it was the BIGGEST ship we had ever seen! ? Of course, we were just 'babies' back then. ?
  6. That makes me sad. We would have gotten one on Odyssey. I would never leave a crystal block in the cabin.
  7. The judge was correct in tossing the case. Anyone who saw the video, and I assume the judge did, could observe that he leaned his upper body out the window looking at something. Then picked that sweet baby up and held her out the window so she could see, and he tragically lost his grip on her. That video is proof that he knew the window was open. It was an accident caused by his poor choices and one he will have to live with for the rest of his life. My heart goes out to this family. But pursuing legal action against RCI for his reckless actions, and trying to cast blame for a window open on a pool deck, one that is not a danger to children? That is, at best, an attempt to avoid accepting the horrendous truth of what happened, and at worst, greed.
  8. And I didn't know she refused another test as well. I couldn't watch her rants. The photos alone of her angry face was enough to trigger me. ?
  9. Possibly because she broke other rules, like violating the 'vaccinated guests only' areas. We don't know all the facts, but RCI may have opted to just remove her because of that.
  10. Lynne, we are also on that southern Caribbean cruise. ? We we’re talking last night and hoping it would change to Coco Cay, given the current circumstance in Grand Cayman. We are hoping Aruba and Curaçao are still a go, but either way just want to be on the ship! ?
  11. I understand how disappointing this must be for you. We prefer independent tours in AK as well. However, much like our cruise we have scheduled for December, we know the protocols are going to be different for bookings this year, and will be ever-changing. We booked knowing that, and are just excited to get on a ship again. ? RCI is doing what it needs to do as a business that was shut down for over a year. I personally think they are simply trying to meet all the concerns they can, knowing they can’t make everyone happy. I hope you can find some RCI tours you would enjoy. Otherwise, there is always the option of postponing to next year when rules should be loosening up more. ? Either way, hope you enjoy your trip to AK.
  12. A month ago, they were threatening to leave FL: https://patch.com/florida/miami/cruise-line-threatens-skip-fl-ports-over-vaccine-passport-ban That threat didn’t generate the change they desired. They really don’t have any other option but to sue if they want to restrict to only vaccinated passengers. ?? I guess this will drag thru the courts, like the State of FL vs CDC. Am I the only one who thinks by the time these are finally resolved, it won’t matter anymore?
  13. Heck, I would need a stiff drink too. ? But it wasn’t Jill, just something she shared.
  14. Awesome, Chris! Can’t wait to see your videos around the ship. We sail in December and can’t wait! ?
  15. Quantum class is our favorite, mainly because of 270, and because that class has just the amount of variety for us on longer cruises, which we prefer. That said, we would sail any of the ships. ?
  16. I’m picturing a redneck, with a big beer belly, no shirt, no shoes, belching as he welcomes you to his all-inclusive back yard. ??
  17. We have used this website in the past on cruises to the islands. There are day passes to these hotel pool areas, but I couldn't tell you how far any of them are from the port: https://www.resortpass.com/hotel-day-passes/Orlando-36 I suggest looking at the different ones to see what is included. Just glancing at a few of those, most cabanas provide soft drinks/water but meals/alcoholic beverages are separate.
  18. So glad to hear the quarantine has ended for you! We are sailing Odyssey in December, and look forward to the reviews on the ship to come. ?
  19. Congrats! Have a great cruise!
  20. I've bid about 5 different times, 4 times low. Once we upgraded from a balcony to JS with a bid just above minimum, and the other time we won by bidding mid-price for a GS from a JS. We really wanted that one, and the bid was still over $1000 less than the GS would have cost us to book. Will be bidding on the next 3 cruises we have planned, if we can. ?
  21. We are totally 'done' with staying home, after all our other vacations (mostly cruises) cancelled this year. ? We are driving to CO from TN next week, staying overnight once coming and going, and eating from our cooler. We plan to be outdoors a lot once we arrive. We have a condo rented there, groceries are going to be picked up curbside, and our one 'meal out' will be 'in at the condo' after picking it up curbside from the restaurant. The route we have planned has a lower rate of infections than the city where we both work. We are cautious, and will be diligent about avoiding others as much as possible. We desperately need a vacation, having both been blessed with working through this entire pandemic.
  22. I also can sympathize with the crew in reference to being 'stuck' onboard. It has to be frustrating, especially being away from family during such a tough time, and for many, not earning salaries that their families need during such a time. I think that some of their frustration is probably because management hasn't conveyed how hard they are working on repatriating the crews, and not sharing info readily is pretty common for large companies. If RCI shared more info with those on the ships, I really think there would be less of what is occurring in these pics. That said, this is a publicity stunt, and I have no doubt the sleazy lawyer is chomping at the bit right now. As far as the OP goes, I personally do a lot of quietly reading here, instead of posting, as anyone can tell by my count. But someone who posts only negative news stories has an agenda. ?
  23. The majority of deaths in WA were at a nursing home, where so many already have compromised health. ? https://www.usnews.com/news/health-news/articles/2020-03-02/us-coronavirus-cases-now-at-89-as-2nd-death-new-cases-in-10-states-reported
  24. CDC said in a twitter post that the wrong info was on them. They made a mistake in the reporting.
