  1. Billy is correct, the agent you book with will manage your reservation during the entire process. THANK YOU for supporting our sponsor, MEI-Travel!
  2. An individual 8x10 photo is about $20 each
  3. Interesting those new rooms have it but the rest of the ship does not. Thanks for sharing!
  4. Anthem is moving back to traditional dining, so you just can reserve times. The four main restaurants – Chic, Grande, Silk, and American Icon – will now become the main dining venues to support the My Time Dining program and will all feature the same upgraded dinner menu each evening. My Time Dining flexible venues will be located on Deck 4 in American Icon and Silk, while Chic and Grande will be designated as the early and late seating restaurants on Deck 3. The name and décor of each venue will remain unchanged.
  5. You can change (and make other reservations) once onboard make other reservations. Here is more information on the specialty dining packages: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/01/28/spotlight-royal-caribbean-dining-packages
  6. Correct, no self-service laundry on RC ships.
  7. Welcome Rob! Glad to have you join us here
  8. You can send out your laundry for dry cleaning or do a "wash and fold" bag of laundry. For wash and fold, they give you a plastic bag and you fill it up with whatever you can fit in there. Ask your stateroom attendant for info on either Your best bet is rent a car and stick your luggage there. I recommend the pre-paid gratuities. Simpler and less awkward. Here is more info on gratuities: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2015/05/19/first-time-cruisers-what-you-need-know-about-gratuities-royal-caribbean
  9. I prefer traditional dining, but was kind of interested to try Dynamic Dining Classic on Anthem next year. Oh well.
  10. Reduced deposit and "free" money. Here is more information on the program: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/08/11/royal-caribbean-next-cruise-program-details-info-and-tips
  11. Yup, just give him a call 1-2 months before your cruise. There isn't really a rate. Just tell him what you want to do and for how long (couple of hours, half a day, the whole day) and he can give you a quote. In general, I have found him to be very affordable and we use him for most of the day. There is a ton to do in St Maarten. I recommend going to Marigot for breakfast, then Orient Beach, Lunch in Grand Case and see the planes at Maho Beach. Leo can offer great recommendations along the way, along with picture stops.
  12. Virtual interchangeable on both islands. Depends what you want to do, but I have used RC excursions and third party in the past. I tend to use third party excursions because they offer me more private experiences and can sometimes be cheaper.
  13. Always, always, always get the passport (book, not the card). I know it's more expensive, but worth it.
  14. Is the voucher issued by RC or by a travel agent? As an example, Discover Card has a RC gift card too, but if you read the fine print, you have to use Discover's travel agency to redeem it. Also, does the certificate support transferring between people? In general, I tell folks not to go for gift vouchers because there tends to be a lot of "gotchas"
  15. Were they still running the old packages?
  16. What time the ship arrives and what time the ship is cleared are two different times. On our Freedom cruise last week, I seem to recall 7am as well for those doing self-disembarkation.
  17. That is my favorite tip in Cozumel. Works like a charm everytime
  18. I've used Leo Brown on many trips and always use him. He is wonderful and a great deal. Here is a live blog I did which detailed one trip with him: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2015/07/30/freedom-of-the-seas-live-blog-day-five-st-martin
  19. You can either walk (10-15 minute walk) or take a ride on the complimentary Labadee tram.
