  1. Uber or Lyft would be your best bet. You can estimate fare here: https://www.uber.com/fare-estimate/
  2. It was essentially a potato based curry. What made it good for breakfast and not other meals? Your guess is as good as mine, but it was really good and quite spicy!
  3. If enough people ask for it, I could see it happening. RC definitely listens to their guest feedback. Just not sure that many people are clamoring for it
  4. I don't book directly with RC, but I believe this is what they call RC's operators.
  5. There's no promises eitherway, but in my experience, booking last minute will almost certainly limit the amount of staterooms you can choose between. Pricing can be a toss-up. RC's cruises sell out more often than not these days, so it would be my expectation that you pay more than if you booked the same room 12-24 months earlier. A big factor is when you are cruising. If you want to cruise during the school year when many do not choose to cruise (January, first two weeks of December, September, etc), you may find good last-minute prices. How good or bad a deal this will be really depends on you and your flexibility.
  6. I'm curious, what were your expectations going into this cruise with a ship like Enchantment? Had you only done larger ships before?
  7. On my recent Navigator of the Seas cruise last week curry was available everyday for dinner. Most days for lunch. On our sailing, there was a breakfast curry every day (that's the first RC ship I have ever seen that). I can recall a bunch of curries, and I'm sure Billy can add to this list Vegetable curry Lamb curry Chicken curry Aloo channa curry Channa curry Potato curry It was amazing.
  8. Either one, but I recommend making reservations. If you are wondering when shows will become available to book via Cruise Planner, here's more info: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/07/23/first-time-cruisers-when-can-i-prebook-entertainment-dining-and-more-my-royal-caribbean
  9. Correct. It's just like staying in a floating hotel.
  10. You can keep checking, but Chichen Itza needs a certain amount of hours in port to appear.
  11. There's few dishes I'd recommend skipping. The scrambled eggs that come in any buffet I'd skip because they taste awful (powdered eggs <_< ).
  12. Nothing. The reason why honey stung chicken became so "popular" was it was only available on embarkation day in the Windjammer buffet. Thus, if you were eating honey stung chicken, it was a sign you were on the first day of your cruise and everything is better on embarkation day! http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2013/07/30/royal-caribbean-classic-honey-stung-chicken
  13. Back in my day, we had to traverse a much more clunky site that routinely crashed. And I walked uphill in the snow both ways.
  14. Not long. Maybe 30 mins round trip. Definitely not walkable back.
  15. Here is a review of the Prohibition party on Allure: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/04/27/experiences-prohibition-party-royal-caribbeans-allure-of-the-seas
  16. May I ask what aspect of the service has not been to your liking? Personally, I like having a TA for things like Quotes for possible cruises to take Repricing when new sales come out so I don't have to Dealing with RC when there is a billing problem (this is a big one)
  17. Good news, this conundrum will soon be a thing of the past: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/03/01/royal-caribbean-re-categorize-all-staterooms-fleet-wide
  18. I've never seen it, but I don't see why you can't
  19. Word on the street is starting tomorrow, it will be 30% off of everyone.
  20. I'd say the worst time to arrive would be after 12:00pm (noon).
  21. Of course you don't want to lose your passport, but the entire reason to have a passport in the first place is not necessarily to just get on the ship on embarkation day, but rather, to have it if you get stuck somewhere and need to get home. If you leave your passport onboard the ship, there is really no point in having brought the passport in the first place. If you are marooned somewhere and the ship leaves, a photo copy will not allow you to leave the country. A lot of people leave their passports onboard, but unfortunately, it does them no good to have it there.
  22. To play devil's advocate, you are concerned about losing your passport when going ashore but not your wallet? SeaPass card? cash? phone? Personally, I don't know why a passport would be any more or less concerning about losing than other valuables.
  23. Do both! Book it now and if it is cheaper tomorrow, re-book. Since you live in Canda, you can do this (assuming you aren't trying for a last minute cruise that is beyond final payment date).
