  1. Past hour
  2. Agree with the others. Only other time this happened to me was when a cruise was being cancelled, and I didn’t see the notification email till later.
  3. @TheoneandonlyMICAH I was on a Thanksgiving sailing with a sold out ship. I was in an OS (Serenade) and asked the concierge about the cabins being booked because I bid on the 2 bedroom. He said he was in communication with all families and the 2 bedrooms were spoken for. 2 nights before the sailing a freak snowstorm up North and a family canceled last minute. My credit card notifications came through first, wait what? I was awarded the RUB the very last day, you never know. But you are correct, love the cabin you booked and if the RUB comes to be fantastic, if not you will still have an amazing time! FYI, we are taking the advice of @WAAAYTOOO and booked 1200 Chops embarkation day. I finally landed on my boarding outfit, white denim skirt and a shirt that resembles the thin blue line repeatedly. I'm a happy chubby lady, I'll be with a bald guy ( probably with some type of baseball hat ) and under armour shirt and kiddo who is turning 18 on this sailing. If you see us, please say hello! Same goes for Mr and Mrs @smokeybandit ! We are celebrating High School Graduation from the International Bachelorette program as well. We are all exhausted, cheers to an amazing sailing. And I know it's controversial right now but I'm hiding ducks! Quack quack!!!
  4. Post-cruise add-on vacation or are you just flying home from MCO for whatever reason?
  5. i generally fill out the online form. Usually have the email confirmation within 2 business says and then have 48hours to pay the fees. you can absoulutely pick the sailing and room if you call.
  6. Its all good. If I win one of my RU bids I will be happy. Otherwise, I will still have an awesome aft facing JS. I will save my money for my Royal Loft suite on Oasis in January of 2026. Otherwise, I am looking forward to this cruise. I need to decompress from all the work and put my butt in a pool chair with a Gin and Tonic in one hand and a good book in the other.
  7. Thank you, ScottD. This is the kind of feedback I was looking for. Sounds like it might be worth trying.
  8. Day 4: ** SEA DAY ** (CONT.) Sitting in the premium lounge at the Brightline station in Miami waiting for our train to Orlando. Let see how much I can update before we board! After Chef’s Table, we changed to more comfortable clothes and headed to the rink (Absolute Zero) for the ice show, “Starburst: Elemental Beauty”… We both really enjoyed the show! By far the most immersive ice show due to the new venue and technology here in Absolute Zero compared to Studio B on the other ships! Don’t miss it! My only complaint (which was voiced here before on our forum) is that you need to walk entirely through Playmaker’s to get to the entrance of Absolute Zero! When we exited the show, it was a madhouse as Playmaker’s was busy and it took a bit to get through the restaurant and into the elevator lobby. I do not care for the basement atmosphere in Playmaker’s… no windows or access to the outside. Random comment! Yes, there will be an Escape Room on Icon, but it’s still under construction. The entrance to the Escape Room will be directly across from the Crown Lounge (Deck 6, FWD) to the left in the pic. I peeked under the sign covering to confirm, LOL! I’ll be back in a little bit after we board the train!
  9. Not necessarily... someone could cancel, someone in an OS could Royal Up to a higher level suite freeing one up, etc. Your chances of winning are always going to be very low but not ZERO.
  10. I believe Tex is speaking of the June 1st sailing - this is the roll call for that sailing.
  11. Yes. It was either included in the price you saw or 18% was added when you went to purchase it. From the Cruise Planner... For ships with the following venues, these are included with an additional surcharge: Izumi Hibachi/Teppanyaki — $15 surcharge. Chef's Table — $49.99 surcharge.
  12. Today
  13. It's been around since the Icon inaugural. I noticed that promo for that sailing, but only for selected categories.
  14. We are sailing on the Liberty next month currently in a Grand Suite. We bid on an Owners suite but according to the website, all of the suites are sold out. So I am assuming that we didn't get our Royal Up. The bid just says submitted. This is the first time we tried the Royal up was I don't know what to expect.
  15. Welcome! We will be on thjs cruise as well. It's nice sailing from a west coast port, even if the stops are limited.
  16. She says to someone who just posted it on a public internet forum.
  17. I agree with Matt. If it had been an excursion I would be less concerned because those do sometimes get cancelled due to issues with the operators but the refreshment packages and escape room are supplied directly by Royal so this is definitely a red flag. I hope you're able to get it sorted.
  18. One quick update to this saga. Our last cruise, Wonder (5-5) was our Pinnacle cruise and since we did not upgrade this complimentary booking we were not supposed to get any C&A points for it. To my amazement and glee, I saw this morning that we WERE awarded 7 points for this cruise ! YIPPEE !!!! No idea why...but I have a working hypothesis that it may be b/c we originally booked this cruise as a full fare cruise (with the intention of making it our Pinn comp) and then transited it to a complimentary cruise once we got our Pinn cert. Maybe there was some kind of coding in the original booking that never got changed ? Who knows...just glad we got the points !
  19. Now that I’ve ordered the 3 day plan I can’t remember if gratuity was included, is it? Is Chef’s Table an option? Since it’s $100/dinner as opposed to $50 at Chops?
  20. I don't want to alarm you, but this happened to me once and it was because my cruise reservation was accidently cancelled by Royal. Start with verifying your reservation is still there (i.e. you can see it in your account when going to Royal account). You need to get a hold of a rep, not the automated system, so just keep asking for an operator. If you booked with a travel agent, now is the time to leverage them.
  21. I woke up this morning to several email notifications that my kids refreshment packages and their reservation for the escape room was canceled. I didn't do this. How/why did this happen and how can I get it fixed to where we get the lower price we originally booked them for? Has anyone else ever had this happen? If so, were you able to get it fixed? I tried calling the number on the website and it was not helpful AT ALL...in fact their automated system is infuriating.
  22. Hi All! Shortly after I posted that yesterday, we got lucky and we got hotel rooms! Anyways, back to posting about day 12, the last day of the cruise, we were docked in Naples and had a shore excursion called "Sorrento with Pizza and Gelato". We started our day in Coastal Kitchen for breakfast, no pictures this time since you get the point . Then we headed to the theater to meet for our tour. Shortly after getting on our tour bus we passed Mt Vesuvius: Also our tour guide, Rita, introduced herself: We had a long drive to Sorrento, close to 2 hours in the morning traffic, so Rita narrated talking about the history of the area and things as we passed, and we also went around the bus and everyone shared where they were from. Rita was probably the highlight of the tour, she was a great guide! Once we got to Sorrento, we went to an inlaid wood store, this definitely felt like another place giving kickbacks to the tour company but everything was very pretty. They gave us a demonstration of how it was made: I knew immediately the lady doing the demonstration was not from Italy, no Italian accent, definitely a New York accent, so I asked her after, she was from Brooklyn not far from where my mom was born! Small world! Anyways, then we had about an hour free time to shop. I bought some magnets as per usual. And then we met up again for lunch: (A very sad salad) (Included white wine for everyone) (Pizza! Although I don't think I need to caption that haha) (migliaccio, a dessert made with Ricotta and Lemon, it was very good) (The restaurant the meal was at) Then we walked a bit to the Gelato shop and had Gelato: And then it was back to the bus for a drive to the limoncello factory. This was not listed in our tour description (like the inlaid wood store), and definitely gave kick backs to the tour company. It felt like the tequila factories you always end up at on excursions in Mexico, some of the many reasons we normally don't do excursions on Caribbean cruises. Anyways, here are some pictures from the factory: Beautiful view of the Sorrento coastline from the terrace of the factory: Then we boarded the bus one last time to head back to Naples, it took about an hour without traffic. Our final towel animals: (Not really an animal but a flower!) Then we finished packing and headed to dinner in Coastal Kitchen for one last time: (Same menu as Day 5 so I didn't take any food pictures) Then we said our good byes to the host Jose: And put our luggage out in the hallway: Once again, don't judge the amount of luggage . Always a sad sight seeing the hallway the last day. Anyways, now I am caught up through the end of the cruise! I will probably post about our post cruise hotel stay when I get home, unless I get really bored during our layover in Heathrow later. And then of course I still have cabin photos/reviews and ship photos that I will post when I get home. Thanks again and TTYL! - Ashley
