  1. Past hour
  2. Yes, you can smoke in the casino. If your parents have issues with smoke, keep them out of the casino to be safe.
  3. Yesterday
  4. The missing spot on my Oasis class bingo card, as you know, so I can’t include it. Hope that gets rectified. I’m familiar and not a fan. I appreciate the encouragement. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it either way, I’m just not sure I can keep myself from overdoing it (ordering too much, trying to use all my credits, etc.)
  5. Wonder doesn't have the worst aqua show, Symphony holds that title, but they do have the best ice show. I keep seeing Wonder and Utopia on my cruise list but real life has been keeping me dry docked. I also think you will enjoy the UDP, without hitting the coma .
  6. That’s funny. We only really know crew from Wonder in recent years and don’t cruise enough to know a ton of them but we boarded Utopia last month & didn’t even get to the food in WJ before a server from Wonder recognized my wife. People tend to remember her but it always amazes me how crew remember guests. Even as an introvert, I did like going back on Wonder 5 times in less than 2 years & knowing some of the crew. I totally get how nice that must be for frequent cruisers.
  7. Most professional regional theaters, which is about the level of a cruise ship production, have 4- 6 week rehearsal schedules, often less.
  8. Us too.. it is loud, but funny we can settle in on 1 day.. Helps we know a bunch of the crew onboard from other ships..but great..
  9. Classic! The movie The Aviator was great, and Leo was awesome in it but that was not half of the story of Howard Hughes life. It got really crazy, buying to half of Vegas and then the Bahamas and getting hooked up with a strange group of people.
  10. Utopia is my favorite ship. I love the ship….the short itins and loud music, not so much…but the ship itself is TOPS.
  11. I always think of the Simpsons with Mr Burns turning mad when Howard Hughes is discussed....
  12. I think it already has. They’re very similar but Utopia has a much much better aqua show (literally my favorite vs. least favorite), Pesky Parrot for new drinks (really liked two of them), GK is nicer up on deck 11 (not important, same food, but it’s a difference). I still prefer Wonder’s ice show but liked Utopia’s a lot too and there are small changes to the Utopia Solarium and the pool deck layout just outside the Solarium (our 2nd shade sloth spot) that makes me slightly prefer Wonder for lounging but that’s not really a big deal. I know it’s only 7N vs. 35N but I can’t imagine suddenly feeling differently after this next 7N. *I’m also leaving out the WJ seafood on Utopia since it will go away eventually but for now that’s a big plus to me too. There were some other small differences that make me prefer Utopia’s WJ too.
  13. They are just waiting around and watching for you to test the tuna sammies !!!
  14. NEVER. FAILS. and sometimes we wish it would now i’m just waiting to see if utopia can usurp wonder’s place in mike’s heart.
  15. If you need a rabbit hole to go down, howard Hughes is an excellent choice
  16. Them not saying anything is actually a compliment. They don't want to officially or unofficially endorse it for all sorts of legal reasons, but they would surely say something if they didn't approve of your content
  17. Not a chance; unless it's the cold seafood Jimmy Buffet .
  18. Someone has to defend WJ embarkation lunch. Even when we’re going to Mason Jar on turnaround day I’m popping into WJ for some lobster first.
  19. This issue is any new show would require a new set and that would very likely be built during a drydock. I don't know how they could build a new set so quickly and have rehearsals in time for September.
  20. Funniest thing and it never fails, there are about 10 people you see on the first day that you see the entire cruise…
  21. I wasn't and now that I haven't been cruising as much due to changes in work scheduling I get 2-3 offers for free cruises.
  22. I have been getting them daily. My wife is ready to kill me everytime I tell her I got another offer
  23. Yes, that's what a read. They bought some old defunct hotel that Howard Hughes owned and lived in before his death which is interesting history. 300 million bucks, and it says it's being developed for Celebrity cruises.
