  1. Past hour
  2. I like it. I have a growing collection of novelty t-shirts related to Philly sports courtesy of my SIL and a few usually make it onboard. She always gets me stuff like that for Xmas but the themes have always changed. I wasn't a huge fan of every theme so I tried to convey how much I liked the Philly theme and she's been sticking to it. They range from corny to funny to more traditional. Some are just basic print on a solid t-shirt like "Ew, Dallas" or "Introverted but Willing to Discuss Philly Sports." The last one is perfect for me, of course. Others have more style and are kinda cool, like "ILL" in maroon Phillies script on powder blue or "Philly vs. All Youse!" She actually got me that last one twice, lol, but one is kelly green and the other is powder blue with a baseball for the "O" in "Youse." I think they're mostly from Amazon. They don't necessarily jump out as Philly shirts like a jersey or licensed t-shirt at first glance but people eventually notice. BTW, been following the Phillies more this year than I had been and I don't know what to think. 1st place in division, three all-star level pitchers, should be happy... and yet everything else about them is so frustrating.
  3. Well, Florida IS the spot a ton of Philadelphians decide to move to when they want to escape the MidAtlantic weather. That's part of our embarkation tradition... we usually wear something associated with the city on boarding day... Eagles if it's in the Winter, we'll probably have some Phillies stuff on next month when we board.
  4. A great opportunity to prepare your stomach for the onslaught of overeating. People who diet ahead of a cruise are doing it wrong. You need to expand your stomach, not shrink it in order to avoid the discomfort of overeating.
  5. Asian buffet night at WJ is the night I skip MDR completely (unless the MDR is serving lamb).
  6. If what I have been able to see is correct (YMMV), our Brilliance September MDR menu has been available since at least March (the first time I looked). It hasn't changed during the interim so I'm hopeful that it's accurate because I'll be able to have lamb 5 different nights (4 times as the Indian dish).
  7. We all like what we like. Many cruisers wouldn’t want to keep sailing to the same ports on the same ship over & over but it works for me.
  8. Agree with @WAYNO about the ship view being worth the trip up in NorthStar. You get an amazing perspective on the upper decks of your ship.
  9. Today
  10. Not that you didn’t believe me but looks like the app finally updated this one.
  11. I remember you mentioning that. I’ve seen an unusually high amount of Philly sports gear onboard recently. It’s possible midnight green jumps out at me but it still has to be there. Maybe I’ll find them. I learned from the last one that these short cruises are definitely not just for people within driving distance.
  12. thanks for sharing those screen shots and pricing. yeah its a beach club owned by royal for their guests which my understanding is what it was presented to be since the beginning, so everything was at a cost. so not surprised nothing can be used like it would for example @ cococay. however, still a decent offering vs. going further into nassau to another property. as someone mentioned might how it was setup with the government like mentioned. either way it will most likely get me off the ship in nassau again. i still plan to make it there in mar, apr or may next year.
  13. None, but I can imagine this would have to be a delicate dance. This guy represents loyalty in every way so if they did decide to make drastic program changes, what would they do with his situation?
  14. Armadillos, you say? We’ve had those recently too. Our local hardware store sells what they claim to be coyote urine to get the armadillos to go away. We have cats. Our next door neighbors have a dog. They provided the necessary ingredients to make the armadillos relocate! They’re still in the neighborhood, though. Saw them recently out in back of the house, but one was camera shy. If armadillos were the worst of our home ownership problems, I’d happily say we had no problems!
  15. I always realize you started these a few days late and already have to play catch up! I'm here and ready, now! Also, I have coworkers (who booked through me!) on the 2nd leg of this one, so I'll definitely be watching for any weather or shenanigans that may pop up on your second round. Also @GatorCruiser https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uB1D9wWxd2w
  16. Day 2 is a sea day. The view of the ship from NorthStar is incredible. Add the surrounding ocean, and the view should leave you speechless. If you want or need more, then add a spin on the NorthStar while it's tied up in port.
  17. I've enjoyed all of the seafood options at Hooked. But, I prefer fish to anything else. My top speciality is 150, obviously not a popular opinion! I also love Wonderland; for me, the best dish on the whole ship is the Wonderland garden dish (it's the beets). I've concluded that no one shares my dining preferences, so likely my love of the Hooked seafood does not translate. I also enjoy CATS . . . Sigh.
  18. Where are you on day 2?
  19. James, do you know specifically what the alternative departure dates are for the 9-day Liberty or 7-day Symphony that RCL is proposing?
  20. Thanks for the info. Shortly after I posted my question, the menus appeared in the app! Maybe I triggered them into posting the menus or maybe it was just coincidnece. Either way, we are now happily anticipating the many choices we get to make. Oh what fun it will be!!!
  21. This is great info! Thank you!
  22. Do you have some inside intel?
  23. I’ve had the lobster and steak there as well I believe that were very good. Hooked that is.
  24. We are on Quantum OTS 11-18 Aug. On day 2 we are looking at doing the NorthStar. My question is there anything to see that day? Should we do it another day?
  25. Thank y'all for the advice.
