  1. Past hour
  2. Thank you Captain, I am aware, however there are two similar topics posts. In addition it was posted prior to the confirmation of the Allure. I apologize to all for being redundant and superfluous.
  3. If you think it is negligence that you feel and hit you head then you can sue for that. But I don't hear you claiming negligence, it sounds more like you got hurt and therefore dint enjoy your cruise so someone should reimburse you for your lack of fun. That's not how it works. If I slipped and fell on the pool deck and broke my arm, it would be an accident, pool decks are slippery, but RC wouldn't owe me because of an accident. Now if you could prove Gross negligence because the furniture was defective and it should have been known to the cruise line that's a different story . Now that being said let's ask another important question. You were at a bar on a moving ship, was there alcohol involved? Could your fall have been avoided if there was no alcohol? Again not accusations, just questions.
  4. I was on the phone with RC a little while ago about linking dining - she gave me the number for the direct group reservation line: try 800-465-3595.
  5. She gave us some story about how she's has a friend onboard and she's gonna toss them into her cabin so the steward will see them..not quite sure what the game is but makes me want to make sure I make dinner every evening
  6. Brilliance of the Seas: Thursday, April 4, 2024 sailing from Sydney, Australia There are no changes as of now and we intend to sail as planned on April 4, 2024. As always, please know that the safety and comfort of our guests are always our highest priority, and we are committed to keeping you informed as the situation evolves. Please check back for any potential changes, which will be communicated by March 28, 2024. Thank you. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/notices/travel-updates
  7. I saw a screenshot of an email from RCI saying repairs are running to timetable and it's expected to go ahead. as planned
  8. So wait, why was the solo traveler bring handcuffs on the cruise
  9. Yesterday
  10. Gotta get it all out of my system before my return to the sweet (suite) life on Icon in June
  11. Ah, the cruise life without your awesome Mom...I'm still here for this!
  12. Thank you very much for your response. I am planning to purchase on the next business day which would be Monday. I'm mad I didn't do it sooner. I read over the protection plan provided by RC and felt it was reasonable. I have my own insurance through work so I just need coverage only for the sailing time. Still debating if I'm going to do CFAR.
  13. I would if there was a ship with a promenade in Tampa! It’s not that much farther than PC for me plus parking is cheaoer.
  14. Be careful what you wish for. Too expensive. Love the ship, love the innovation and Royal being visionaries but I don't want this ship in NJ if can fit under the Verazanno. Keep an "older" Oasis class ship and Liberty here. 4 booked on Liberty right now and very reasonable.
  15. When you get your confirmation from Air2Sea you may see another record locator than the one given on your reservation. For my upcoming flight reservations I have one record locator for Air2Seas, one for Iberia, and one for British Air. So you'll want to use the correct record locator per airline when you're trying to view your reservation in the airline app. If you don't receive an email from Air2Sea by tomorrow, then give them a call back (or ask your TA to call) and ask for one to be sent. Also note that some airlines will not let you select your seats until the booking is paid for (when you pay for your cruise and air in full). Hope you have a great cruise!
  16. Dinner at the MDR tonight... I had the coconut breaded shrimp, and onion soup, as perfect as always, and although I didn't order it, I received the tiger shrimp for an entree along with the steak that I did order. All 5-star perfect. Then I cancelled my dessert. Even I can over do it.
  17. Time for activities. First I have to swing by the room to put on my casino clothes. Pro tip: Pack one outfit to wear in the casino. Change into it every night before going to the casino. This way you only have one smoky set of clothes. same black shirt and black pants every night.
  18. Poor timing on my part to speak ill of bridges... I only hate it b/c it keeps anything above Radiance class out of Tampa.
  19. I think I'm driving over it next week on my turnaround day as I trek from Tampa to Miami.
  20. But back to dinner...my "healthy choices". Watered down spaghetti sauce..menu said it was tomato soup, and I guess technically that was not a lie. Prime rib, medium rare Cheese plate which was a ball of blue cheese (my favorite! ), orange cheese (tastes like plastic), and Swiss (). There was also a ball of something that felt sticky and smelled sweet that I vetoed putting my mouth.
  21. There is a light hydraulic oil sheen visible in the water that's believed to be from the DALI's bow thruster. Currently, there is no current evidence of pollution or leakage. Over the next 24-48 hours the Coast Guard plans to make the crash site safe for salvage removal. That includes assessing and stabilizing the ship, which thus far has taken on no water. The second phase involves removing damaged containers from the ship, before removing bridge debris. From there, the Coast Guard will tow the DALI to Dundalk Marine Terminal. More than 1,000 members of the US Army Corps of Engineers have been activated to help clear debris, which consist of 2,900 feet of steel and concrete lodged at the bottom of the river.
  22. This is my third time cruising out of Tampa. I always mean to catch going under the bridge, and I always miss it. This time I was close! Getting an Centrum elevator is rough on this class of ship but I didn't have the time to run all the way to the forward elevators nor do I have the knees to climb from deck 4 to 11. Enjoy my elevator ride with me
