We were on Majesty going to Cuba. The only reason we were on that ship was for Cuba, and I'd have rather had them cancel it when we weren't allowed to sail there. We ended up with horrible weather on a very tiny ship and got switched to Nassau. It wasn't a win. We still made lemonade outta lemons, but I'd have been happy with a cruise credit for sure. But this is a very unique case...Though I'm starting to sail more smaller ships for itinerary not ship. Jane

Thanks for posting this. Someone else shared a video of Captain Rob explaining this onboard. What's not clear is WHEN it occurred. I was in Puerto Rico on Icon of the Seas for her inaugural, so clearly it has to have happened since then. It's strange there's no reports of the MSC ship hitting the pier.

Both Explorer and Voyager have calls in Montenegro this summer and next summer so if the new class is around their size I guess it would also be able to call there.

I completely agree! There used to be even more, but Celebrity has been redeploying more ships to the Caribbean. We shall see what, if anything, comes of these rumors.

Unless it's a bucket list thing that you really only have one chance at (say, Panama Canal or Greenland), cruising is a lot less stressful when you just prepare yourself that port changes may happen and mentally adjust when they do.

We showed the guy our Set Sail Passes, didn't matter. Fortunately, being later arrival type folk, we checked in through the great unwashed line pretty fast. But this guy was a world class...............(insert your favorite expletive here). Real fine customer service skills.

This is Wonders first stop in PR for 2024 and they were not sure of repair timing. She was switching between the two common eastern/western itineraries previously(similar to Icons current itineraries). Also Royal tried to convince PR port authority to allow WOS to dock on the other side of the pier but the port authority waited awhile to respond and eventually declined per the captain’s video detailing the reasoning. I’ll take an itinerary change rather than having a cruise cut short or cancelled like some of the other recent events across the cruise universe lately.

I hid 10 the last time I was on Harmony in super easy areas and on the edge of the sidewalk in CP. It was fun to try and hide it when no one was there. I have yet to find one of these "hundreds" of ducks though. I have heard people say they've seen crew throw them out, but that's not anything I've witnessed. I will keep looking until they are banned but will continue to hide only a few. Jane

I am seeing 7 night sailings on Icon and Star that are running $4,200 for 2 people INSIDE CABIN just with cruise fare and taxes (just the standard caribbean ports from Florida). There are definitely Celebrity 7 night sailings on Edge class for surprising prices (7 night “Beyond" out of Miami for 2 for $1,706 incl tax). It’s not to spur debate about Icon class vs Edge class and there are similar Oasis class vs Edge class examples but the point is that is if there is a point I get 5 drink vouchers on Celebrity there will definitely be some booking shifts in my empty nester family. There are many Celebrity sailings that are really attractive from a ports-of-call standpoint but I can’t go on Celebrity without a drinks package where on RCL the D+ vouchers, 2 bottles of carry on wine, and 1 bottle amenity wine is sufficient.

Recently sailed the 11 day Panama Canal cruise on Beyond on 1/29/24. Looking to see if there is a way to see the daily Calendar for that cruise or past excursions for the cruise. The cruise is listed on my app as a past cruise but doesn’t bring up details. My husband just discovered he may be able to submit some hours for his professional continuing education credits, especially those that are about the canal. If I’m unable to find a Calendar. Does any know of the name of the lecturer for the canal history. I think his first name might be Bill. Any help is much appreciated.

It’s like Easter egg hunts, it’s for the kids. We never pick one up but frequently point one out to a kid and they are usually delighted. We have a lot of grandkids so appreciate this opportunity for the kids to enjoy something like this. Now it’s a different conversation if they start showing up on adult cruises like Virgin Voyages.
