twangster
Go to the main page for RoyalCaribbeanblog.com and in the search box enter 'first time". Don't use the search box on this page, that just searches within the message boards. The podcast link at the top is another great place to listen and learn. KLA
Welcome to Royal Caribbean Blog! First things that come to mind - Majesty is a small ship, but is getting fixed up in a dry dock. Bear in mind that she is a smaller ship, so a lot of the included bells and whistles you see on the Royal Caribbean web page won't be included on her (water slides, etc). That said, she's a great old little ship. Cozumel is a great location - lots to do! Personally, Nachi Cocom Beach Club in Cozumel makes for one of my favorite beach days! $55 all inclusive beach resort about a 15 minutes away from the port area that limits reservation to about 130 people per day. Pooch
Thank you, our first cruise was on a smaller ship too - Nordic Empress to Bermuda. As we have very little frame of reference, I don't think that will be a big issue for us. Looking mostly to relax. If I may ask more about the beach club? None of us are "beach" people but we would like to snorkel and a nice beverage on a beach chair does sound "relaxing"!! What exactly is "all inclusive" and how would we get there from the ship? Thank you

It's a private beach, very nice, swimming pool, restaurant, showers, locker room type place to change clothes if needed, "All inclusive" includes food and drinks. It is about a 15-20 minute taxi ride, taxi's are directly in front off port, very easy and trust worthy.

Thank you More info can be found here: http://www.cozumelnachicocom.com/ My husband and I have been twice - it's one of my favorite places in the Caribbean. $5 deposit, and you can pay the remainder in cash or credit card when you arrive. Be sure to have your printed confirmation email in hand when you arrive! You can get there by taking a taxi - taxis are easily accessible outside of the port area (there are signs!) and usually around $20ish per way with tip. Ship will be done up and even the casino staff are dressed (lost a lot of money to the ghost of Bob Marley at the roulette table). We are looking at the same cruise you're on. Since we live about 45 min from the Tampa port.
