RCIfan1912
Has anyone used Viator for Excursions? Found it a few days ago and its certainly a savings over booking the RCL. Have 2 "reserve now pay later". Some good ones RCL doesn't even offer. Any experience here with Viator?
loki007
used it many times for our 10 day france and italy cruise last year. Very reliable. TessFromFlorida, PPPJJ-GCVAB and RCIfan1912 2
jbrinkm
I used it in Roatan and had a fantastic excursion there. I also just used it to book something for Falmouth next week which is our replacement for Labadee. I can cancel with no fee up to 24 hours in advance so that is a huge bonus - I've got something lined up but if I see a ship excursion I like better, I can book on board and cancel this other one. I also really like that you can see reviews of the excursions. PPPJJ-GCVAB and RCIfan1912 1
RCIfan1912
Thanks, I really like the website and app. They are a TripAdvisor company so that made me much more confident to use them. You can contact them, chat with them and contact the tour operator so there seems to be plenty of communication avenues. I looked at another company like this Shore excursions but they seemed to very limited in options and I overall just didn't like it as much. The cancel up to 24 hours before it's very, very nice. jbrinkm
Ryan79
They are a very well established and reputable booking site. As with Royal, they are a broker as opposed to the company that actually operates the excursions. However getting in contact with the actual vendor is quite easy should you have any questions or issues. I use them for ALL of my excursions that I don’t book directly with Royal or other cruise lines RCIfan1912
cedricmr
We look first at the excursions RCI then viator. Depending on the proposals and prices offered, we reserve for either. If the difference is not significant, we choose RCI for ease. RCIfan1912 and jbrinkm
HeWhoWaits
My wife and a couple friends used Viator for some activities in Hawaii post-cruise. They all said they would use Viator again for making arrangements. RCIfan1912
Doug_Texas
We've used Viator many times and have been satisfied. We usually check out direct operator bookings first as Viator charges the operator quite a bit. Shore Excursions Group https://www.shoreexcursionsgroup.com/ and Viator are our secondary "go to" resources for shore options. Leroyr55
I used it for our London trip last year. 100% satisfied. PPPJJ-GCVAB
TessFromFlorida
We've been on dozens of Viator tours. Get Your Guide is another option. We also use Airbnb Experiences which has some unique offerings. If you book through the app for your first purchase, you may be able to save 10%. RCIfan1912
PPPJJ-GCVAB
Viator is my go to touring choice. I’ve used them only on my land vacations and my satisfaction is 100%! I am currently looking at a few tours if my May cruise Labadee stop ends up in Falmouth instead. I am hoping Royal contacts us sooner than later to have plenty of time to reassess what to do on that day…and also to cancel what is already booked for Labadee. KWong
I've found Get Your Guide to be another decent broker. Might also be worth checking out. PPPJJ-GCVAB and RCIfan1912
