Every one of the JS offers has been booked by the time I make the phone call resulting in a balcony downgrade. The agent mentioned they would upgrade if JS comes available. Can you request for GTY Suite.ย That's what I did for this up coming May cruise.ย They told me sold out, but before I called up, I did a mock booking, and GTY Suite was available.ย So I asked how about GTY Suite.ย She checked said yes it's available.ย So she help me booked it plus additional $300 free play.ย Since it's Jr. suite, I don't mind is GTY.ย Especially I am going solo which net me 3 points per nite.ย Most of the time, I don't like GTY, cuz I like to know where my room is.ย Now I am still waiting for them to assign me room..ย I kept checking everyday.ย Nothing yet.ย Check in is April 16.ย Hopefully by then I know where my room is..ย Aftman, LandstromCruise, WAAAYTOOO and 1 other 3 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Upgrade?ย No.ย Downgrade?ย Yes, several times (I just get balcony offers and not JS though).ย But you can keep calling in later to see if that original category ever opens back up.ย I've done that before where I initially booked a lower category room just to get on the ship/sail date and then the original higher category became available later.ย The rep should be able to just switch you to the original category at no charge (YMMV).
