cruise-y
Hey all, I can't remember the hanger situation in a JS. Are there enough hangers in there or do I need to bring extra? Yes, a lot of time we're in bathing suits and shorts - but all shirts, sports coats, sundresses and slacks need hangers. 10 hangers won't cut it for two people on a 7-day cruise. Have never been in JS, yet, but have never had a problem getting extra hangers from our cabin attendant. Would assume the same for you, just ask. FLGooner
Plenty of hangers in our last JS, if you need more just ask and they appear.
monorailmedic
I'll throw one more on the pile and say there are never enough hangers in any stateroom of any ship I've sailed (we hang most of our clothes). I just ask for extra hangers and it's never been an issue - no sense in packing them IMO. FloatMe and mom2mybugs
WAAAYTOOO
Isn't that interesting ? I have never ever used all of the hangers that they give us ! I guess I just throw everything in a drawer vs hanging it up in the closet ! rjac
Sarah
I usually take a few, ask the stateroom attendant for some and still double up items on hangers!! Perhaps I take too much! Skid

DocLC
I can't remember the last time I had a hanger shortage, but I do remember being able to request more many years ago. Remember that slacks and shirts can be hung on the same hanger, so that maximizes space and reduces the number of hangers needed. Razerbkfan
Ok remember to each their own. My wife enjoys the idea of dressing up for diner each evening so yes we way over pack. Prior to the cruise she starts saving those hangers you get from the dry cleaners. She hangs her dress outfits and then puts them in one of those folding hardcase suit bags. When the luggage is delivered she just needs to pull everything out of the bag and it is ready to hang. My walmart sack of cloths just get thrown in the drawer. Sail on! FloatMe
I also hang everything including tees and shorts so I always pack 10 wire hangers in the suitcase. Secondarily the wire hangers make much less noise than the wooden ones while at sea.

You can even do it as a "outfit" if you want. Saves time thinking about what you are going to wear. Although to be honest, I don't really give that much thought about it.
