Star Class, Please Help

Hello All, Please Help and Comment:

We are sailing (Family of 4 - 49+, 45, 12 and 7 years old) July 17, 2023. 3 weeks to go. We are so excited. I have a general Star Class Question, this is our first Star Class Sailing. We have never received the "Questionnaire" as listed on the RCCL website. Further, our initial contact with our Royal Genie, was less than exciting.

Are we supposed to say We need XXX at Lunch and XXX for dinner. I thought that the Genie was going take care of this??? What protocols have changed? There is nothing on the RCCL website?

My name is Jade, and I have the pleasure of serving you as your Royal Genie on your upcoming sailing. I can’t wait to welcome you to your Star Class Grand Loft suite 1xxxx onboard Quantum of the Seas on July 17, 2023. I hope you’re ready for a wonderful cruise vacation.

 We’re delighted you’ll be joining us as we get back to our home at sea. Your health & safety are our top priority, so as we begin to set sail, we have new health protocols that are part of our healthy return to service.  As we return to service, some benefits and services have been temporarily adjusted. To follow new health protocols and better manage the flow of guests in terminals, the check-in process will be different. All guests will be required to select an arrival time in advance via the Royal Caribbean app. However, Star Suite guests can enjoy Flexible Arrival — a new program allowing the freedom to check-in up to one hour before or after your scheduled check-in time while the terminal is open.

  If you have any requests for dining, shows, or are celebrating any special occasions, please send them my way. To get started, I recommend you begin reserving your Shore Excursions and any Spa services ,now on Cruise Planner http://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruiseplanner.

OK, my reservation states that it is my 50th birthday. We have not received the questionnaire that was supposed to be emailed 6 weeks prior to sailing. Don't know what to say or ask, yet I receive emails daily regarding the drink package, arcade. It's confusing. 

Please help. Spent 5 digits on this sailing, and I am getting very nervous. We love sailing with Disney, and this will be our 2nd RCL cruise. Guru's, Please Help!!!

I would ask Jade the questions you are asking us.  Tell her you were expecting a questionnaire and didn't receive one, tell her it's your 50th birthday, tell her what you like and don't like, want and don't want.  That's how she'll know how to take care of you

@3615971 Just communicate to your genie exactly what you want.  If you have certain dining reservations you want to make or shows you want to see just let her know.  The emails between you and your genie are way more important than that generic questionnaire in my opinion.   Let your genie know that you are celebrating your birthday ect.  The more information you give them about your expectations, likes and dislikes, what you want out of your cruise the better.

I wouldn’t worry about the generic questionnaire at this point. Communicate directly with Jade. 
 

make a list of restaurants you would like to eat at, what type of snacks and beverages  you want in your room, the shows and activities you would like to do, ask her to decorate the room and cake for your bday, etc. there are many star class trip reports by @Lovetocruise2002 @WAAAYTOOO and others that you can read on live blogs section. I'm with the others. The questionnaire is dumb. Don't worry about that at all. 

Write her back with must do's and when. What you want to skip. Any standing orders you may want, etc. You know all those reservations that you would normally take care of in the CP but didn't have to this time in SC? Now is the time to have the Genie do it for you.  Enjoy!

Don't worry about the questionnaire. I would say that I have only received it for about half of my star sailings to date. Most Genies don't look at them too much anyway. Like others have mentioned, communicate directly with Jade and that is the best method. I hear she is great. I have never had her, but I know Hailey (another Genie on that ship) and the whole Quantum Genie team is pretty good.

We just received our genie letter for the sailing the following week, and Jade is our genie as well. I’m hoping someone that has had her in the past can share some information!

As a few others have said, the questionnaire is a bit silly. Communicate with your Genie. They are awesome and will take care of everything. Its a great experience. Doing it again this fall (2023). Symphony on the Seas, Transatlantic. Have fun.
