Pooch
You say OBC can only be used once you board. You didn’t really mean that did you? I’ve used OBC for CP purchases just about every cruise. Am I missing something? Neesa, michaelp1446, JohnK6404 and 1 other
WAAAYTOOO
I just used OBC to pre-purchase internet for a cruise in September. I think there must be some miscommunication somewhere. JohnK6404, Neesa, Pooch and 1 other
CanHardlyWait
Just read the article. I don't get it. I can use obc to purchase things in planner. WAAAYTOOO, JohnK6404, michaelp1446 and 1 other
CrimsonCruiser
I'm guessing the article has been updated by the time I read it an hour ago because under the ways to spend OBC it says if you need to book onboard or pre-cruise and even has a whole section dedicated to using OBC in the cruise planner.... Colombia20102018
Some OBC can only be used onboard. For example, one time a travel agent gave me a $50.00 OBC but he explained it could only be used once on board. Another time, my cruise fare went down and Royal Caribbean offered me OBC for the price difference. Once again, this credit was only usable onboard. Atlantix2000
The top part of the article doesn't mention pre-cruise but it's pretty generic. Once you get to the different things you can buy with OBC, each section mentions whether it can be done on-board or pre-cruise (or both). When this post first went up, the article wasn't even visible to me so either it was pulled for edits or it was only visible to insiders at the time. StayFrosty
It is a fairly recent change that lets you use onboard credit pre-cruise. It could just be a remnant of a previous version of the article.
