plasticmaster
My cruise is going to Cococay, Roatan, Cozumel, and Costa Maya. I have AT&T unlimited starter plan. Can I use my phone (talk text or data) while in these ports without getting some crazy fee on my phone bill? Thanks.
Zacharius
I believe that plan includes unlimited in Mexico and Canada so you shouldn't need to worry about Cozumel and Costa Maya. May be worth just re-confirming with AT&T themselves. As far as Honduras and Bahamas, you'll likely be charged a per minute/per text/per gig fee. Just Google AT&T international rates and it'll give you a list of the rates by country, as well as any options to lower that rate with an additional monthly fee. 4ensic
SPS
Caribbean Islands are not typically covered by AT&T Cell/Data plans (Coco Cay, Roatan), but are covered while in Mexico (Cozumel, Costa Maya).
KJones
Verizon has an international plan that charges $5 per 24-hr period with unlimited text/call/data. I would imagine AT&T has something similar.
wordell1
ATT has an international plan that is free to add to your plan. You will be charged $10 per day to use it in most countries. The $10 will cover all phones on your plan. CrimsonCruiser

It's $10 for the first phone, then $5 for any other phone on that plan turned on in that 24 hour period after the first
Villageidiot
AT&T will cover Honduras and Mexico along with a lot of other Latin America countries. You have to be Unlimited Elite or Premier I believe. Easy to check on the website though. It worked fine on our February cruise to those ports. RoyalGreek
If you travel a lot!! The only service to have is T-Mobile Magenta Max Plan. It give you unlimited WiFi, data and text coverage in 215 countries, plus WiFi on most airlines. About the same price as the other carriers. I have used it in 49 counties and it has never failed me. I did notice that I did not get charged at all for my use in Roatan in January. It was listed as "Latin American Roam" and showed a $0 charge.
