Cruiser2020
Can anyone recommend a hotel in Miami for a one night stay. We're arriving one day early in the summer and will uber(?) to the hotel and cruise port. Someone mentioned YVE and that does look nice. Thoughts? Recommendations? Traveling Mike
If you are looking for cost effective in Miami I always stay in an Airbnb.
asquared17
some parts of miami can be less desirable than others and you can see this reflected in the hotel rates. a lot of times what i will do is open hotwire to put in some parameters (how many stars, price, location) just to see what pops up and what the price will be. then i go and book directly through the hotel itself because it's usually more advantageous, they may have a breakfast package or late cancellation, etc. the intercontinental is always a solid choice, but can be extremely pricey at times. you might also look at some of the more widely recognized chains throughout miami. AshleyDillo
The Hampton Inn & Suites in Brickell is nice, but it can be pricey. There's a lot in the area that's walkable for restaurants and you can walk to the light rail to explore more.
need2cruz
I stayed at the YVE. We got a very good price on the room. It was a great location. Near the Intercontinental, but no where near their price. pezhudson
Bob Burd
We just got back from a cruise from Miami port. We stayed at the Aloft by the airport and it was very nice. Was extremely reasonably priced. Close to some restaurants and a starbucks. We parked in their lot for $7 a day and we ubered to and from the port. Could not have been much easier. The uber was around 23-25 each way. Neesa
Cruisegirl1976
I loved the YVE, hotel was nice, location was perfect. would def stay there again.. they did offer a shuttle service (3rd party)to the port and and will arrange to pick you up after the cruise to bring you to the airport. Kathleen
We stay at the Miami Hyatt near the port. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance. We enjoy walking to Bayfront Park for a drink and a bite to eat once we arrive. https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/florida/hyatt-regency-miami/miarm
