Rich T Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Has anyone heard any details regarding Royal Caribbean's "More to Love" Ship Enhancement Program; certainly less advertised than the bigger, longer planned Refurbishments Pregram. I recently came across a revitalization schedule that shows Royal Caribbean's planned ship refurbishments. The schedule includes some of these low key "More to Love" Enhancements. I'm particularly interested in learning anything about the enhancements planned for Radiance in May 2016. I will be sailing her south-bound in Alaska on May 27 2016. I have noticed a gap in Radiance sailing schedule once she reaches Vancouver (following her transpacific crossing) and right before she starts the Alaska season - dry docking in Vancouver. Looking forward to some new sparkling surprises once I board! I'm hoping the enhancements include VOOM :-) Katelynnhab and RodgerClini 2 Quote
WAAAYTOOO Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Interesting. I hadn't noticed that there were 2 different programs. Quote
Rich T Posted April 7, 2016 Author Report Posted April 7, 2016 Found this post today from a passenger just getting off Radiance: Posted by: cassamanda On: April 6th, 2016 06:56 AM Just off Radiance. She will dry dock at Portland after her repo from Sydney to Vancouver. Standard 5 year maintenance checks plus renewing carpets, furniture, pool clean etc. no mention of upgrades, not to say they wont. Would be good if shower doors were fitted. No probs with JS as shower is over bath. Next cruise sales office has already been moved from deck 12 to deck 5 next to Cafe Lattitudes. Nice and bright but takes up some seating space and very noisy being close to Centrum activities. reference http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=49632755#post49632755 Quote
rekkie Posted April 18, 2016 Report Posted April 18, 2016 I definitely hope they move Rita's and add an additional coffee shop there. Latte-tudes is so small and with all the grannies getting in there early to sit forever and read a book ya just cant enjoy a nice coffee Quote
Rich T Posted April 22, 2016 Author Report Posted April 22, 2016 I just looked at the Cruise Planner for our May 27 2016 Alaska cruise - it shows VOOM internet as available ... guess that means VOOM will be included in the "more to love" refurbishment! This makes me happy! Quote
Rich T Posted June 16, 2016 Author Report Posted June 16, 2016 For those still curious, we completed our sailing after completion of the early May 216 "refurbishments"; I can now report that the refurbishments were primarily of a technical nature and had little to no effect on visible guest areas. J_Keeble Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 hmm I'm wondering what they have planned for rhapsody ... ? any ideas or things you would like to see? I would love another restaurant to be added and virtual balconies as there is only a limited number of actual balconys Quote
michelle Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 great updates - and yes I agree J_Keeble would love to see the Rhapsody redone as well Quote
J_Keeble Posted November 9, 2016 Report Posted November 9, 2016 has anyone got any news on Rhapsody refurb in December? I'm on her in May so very curious, but I have this bad gut feeling they might put it on hold. Or maybe because of all the Harmony hype it has been overlooked by RC PR team .... Quote
bcarney Posted November 9, 2016 Report Posted November 9, 2016 hmm I'm wondering what they have planned for rhapsody ... ? any ideas or things you would like to see? I'm curious as well, as I have that ship booked for early April 2017. J_Keeble 1 Quote
HighlandBoy Posted November 14, 2016 Report Posted November 14, 2016 I would also like to find out what is planned for Rhapsody, been searching all over but I can't find any details anywhere. We are on the sailing the week after you bcarney. Quote

J_Keeble Posted November 15, 2016 Report Posted November 15, 2016 if you go on twitter and search adventure of the seas, there a few grainy pictures of the water slides. rhapsody of the seas also in dry dock in spain for a few bits before her other dry dock I guess? https://twitter.com/search?f=images&vertical=default&q=adventure%20of%20the%20seas&src=typd https://twitter.com/puertodecadiz/status/796324420960845824 looks like a new prop Quote
bcarney Posted November 15, 2016 Report Posted November 15, 2016 if you go on twitter and search adventure of the seas, there a few grainy pictures of the water slides. The unfinished water slides. We sail on her this Saturday; I'll take a few photos while I explain to my kids why they can't use the water slides I promised them. :( jticarruthers 1 Quote
jticarruthers Posted November 15, 2016 Report Posted November 15, 2016 My crew is already aware that they will likely see but not be able to touch the slides, etc. Already informed my wife that I will probably be in pissed off mode on Saturday until I get settled with what compensation RCI will be extending and then dropping it for the duration of the cruise, regardless of what said compensation ends up being. My expectations are that they will politely smile and nod as I explain that the FCC offered is worthless and offer nothing else but at least I can try one more time I guess. Quote

Speak to the Loyalty Ambassador onboard. I had a much better experience with her on the Liberty than I did with Guest Services when I had issues before the cruise, while boarding, and then during the cruise. Quote
J_Keeble Posted November 15, 2016 Report Posted November 15, 2016 how do you know they are unfinished? Quote
bcarney Posted November 15, 2016 Report Posted November 15, 2016 how do you know they are unfinished? Royal announced it. Matt had a blog post regarding it: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/10/31/hurricane-matthew-damage-causes-delay-royal-caribbeans-renovation-plans-adventure-of-the Quote

coneyraven Posted January 4, 2017 Report Posted January 4, 2017 It seems rhapsody is going into dry dock/ refit/ spruce up January 14th? Has anyone heard the same? Rhapsody was supposed to go in some time in December ..... I wonder if the schedule has been pushed back on other ships due during the early part of 2017. J_Keeble and Katelynnhab 2 Quote
