Vlgg
Hi All, We are booked on Allure of the Seas for the Holiday Cruise and we have 3 Central Park Balcony Cabin. We booked them thru a travel agent-first and last time with that one, took a while for them to get the cabin numbers lined up with the correct families. Anyway, when I made the reservations 16 months ago she they that the reservation includes 2 lunches per cabin at Johnny Rockets and a bottle of red wine. Now I am seeing that you have a choice of a couple of restaurants for lunch? Can anyone shed some light on this subject? I don't want to ask the travel agent because not sure they know what is happening. Thanks for any info anyone can share.
JohnK6404
Hi @Vlgg ! We, along with our friends, booked 2 adjacent Central Park balcony cabins for our Allure Cruise last week. Just an FYI, you can ask your room attendant to have the balcony partitions removed if you want to share balconies (don’t worry, only part of the partition is removable allowing passage from balcony to balcony). For your complimentary specialty lunch, you have a choice of Giovanni’s Table, Sabor or Johnny Rockets. We went to Giovanni’s Table for our CP balcony lunch. We made the reservations once onboard at the restaurant. No need to go to the hospitality desk. As you mentioned, you’ll get a bottle of red wine (merlot) and a free casino lesson too (we never took advantage of this perk). Here is the letter we received in our cabin last week on embarkation day... I’m sorry it’s a little hard to read... Have a great time! I was fervently against them as well till I realized “hmm I don’t pay this person any extra and they call and do all the work for me.” Earlier this week for example my new travel agent made the call for me to change room numbers for a more preferred layout. I would have probably spent 20 minutes on the phone with them. I just shot her an email and less than an hour later I had my new confirmation with the new room number. Vlgg
Thank you both for your response! I would much prefer Sabor to Johnny Rockets. I will definitely use a different travel agent next time. There have been some great reviews of Michelle on this website so when I am ready to book Alaska I will give her a call. Happy cruising!! I see that it says your booked in Central Park.. Your actually going to get a lunch in Giovanni's not Johnny Rockets.. In my opinion Giovanni's is delicious. Much better than SAbor and Johnny Rockets.. It doesn't matter that your TA told you Johnny Rockets. Once your onboard go to Giovanni's tell them you have a Central Park balcony and you want to book your Central Park free lunch.. I just did this a few months ago. Worked out great. Vlgg
We ate at Giovanni's on Adventures of the Seas last October and enjoyed it. We are taking my son and his wife and three grands, ages 8,11,13 and they like Mexican so I will let them decide between Giovanni's and Sabor. Thanks for all the help everyone. We'll have to see how that changes on Allure after the refurb. We're on in May 2020, three sailings after she's back in the water. Our first CP balcony. Going to be rough getting that lunch reservation in - we have six port days and one sea day on that seven night sailing.
