Marc Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 This picture makes me happy. They arrived today with five weeks to go until sailing. I'm a bit giddy about the luggage tags because I've not ordered them since they switched to suites-only (unless you pay $35 for hardcopy cruise documentation) back in 2011, I think it was. WAAAYTOOO Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 I know what you mean about the luggage tags. I'm still upset about not getting them anymore. Quote

We are on the next Liberty sailing on 10/22 (through 11/1)... take good care of the ship for us! :) Marc 1 Quote
Matt Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 I know what you mean about the luggage tags. I'm still upset about not getting them anymore. I liked the old luggage tags but honestly the printable luggage tags are simpler (you never can run out) and I just use luggage holders that work really well. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009PGOCUE/ref=as_sl_pc_tf_lc?tag=royalcacom-20&camp=14573&creative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=B009PGOCUE&adid=173KZPSGYVET5HCAX5ZN&&ref-refURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.royalcaribbeanblog.com%2Froyal-caribbean-luggage-tags Quote
Marc Posted September 13, 2015 Author Report Posted September 13, 2015 I have those luggage tags, too, Matt, and have used them for several cruises. I saw someone mention these tags and I'm tempted by them. I like the subtle artwork embossed onto the plastic, the metal loops may be easier to attach (not sure). Quote

I haven't used those but I agree using third party tag holders make the new tags much better overall. Quote
DocLC Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 I have the old style luggage tag holders and have used them for the last several cruises. They work really well. However, I do like the new metal fasteners even though I haven't had any issues with the plastic ones. Quote

I just bought them a couple of weeks ago from Amazon to try out for this cruise based on the positive feedback from the forum... will let you all know how we like them! Marc and Matt 2 Quote
eaglesfaninfl Posted September 16, 2015 Report Posted September 16, 2015 We've had those Amazon luggage tags for a couple of cruises and they work real well and are easy to use. Much improvement over just wrapping the paper tags around your handles. Matt 1 Quote
monctonguy Posted September 16, 2015 Report Posted September 16, 2015 Yup..followed the link and ordered myself some luggage tags as well. Always worried about the paper ones just tearing or ripping off. And seeing as how often and much I like to cruise, I figured it was worth it! :D DocLC 1 Quote
jlynn222 Posted September 18, 2015 Report Posted September 18, 2015 Bought the new luggage tags too for my cruise last month...they worked great! Quote
Marc Posted September 18, 2015 Author Report Posted September 18, 2015 By the way, I intended this thread to be open to anyone who wants to post their happy cruise-related pictures. Feel free to share your photos, too! :) DocLC and Matt 2 Quote

monctonguy Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 Love that last pic....usually what it looks like at home when I leave for the majority of my cruises...cold, barren, snowy, ...and to touchdown to warm sunny skies, palm trees and then head to the boat is an unbeatable feeling!! Marc Posted September 22, 2015 Author Report Posted September 22, 2015 I hope that's a "before" picture and not an "after" one. I still have a bit of stress thinking about a cruise a year and a half ago. A significant snow storm moved in during my flight home from Florida. By the time I got to my car, there was already an inch or two on the ground, and being late at night, not much was being done to clear the roads yet. Getting home was quite a challenge. Quote

Definitely on climb-out on our way down. It was late March, a time that we don't necessarily get a lot of snow. Quote

Jerel Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 Nice shot WhiteSoxfan, that's the happiest pic yet. BTW, please make sure the Sox beat up on the Yankees at the end of this week. This Blue Jays fan would appreciate it :) Quote
