  1. @WannaCruise someone in the FB group for my Harmony December 2020 sailing just posted that the Key has gone to $50 CAD!
  2. Overall I find their rooms to be way more spacious than a typical hotel room.
  3. They can. It just depends who you end up in a session with. I have heard of some who have gotten bruises and hurt their backs in the bumper cars.
  4. Aw..I miss that place already!! Can't wait to go back in March!
  5. Intercontinental?! Even non-club it’s a great property. If you have time, take your son to Bayfront Park next door and Bayside Marketplace. Great area for kids.
  6. Yes he can go on with an adult since he is 6. You cannot reserve online. I would suggest that you show up early. We usually go about 45min before the posted time and there is a line forming by that time already. If you wait until 30min prior, be prepared for a wait for your turn.
  7. Hmm...that is strange since you are only 2 days out now...
  8. Lol! I didn't even think of that! Are you doing the 9N too in 2020? No kids. They want nothing to do with a Canada/NE sailing ?
  9. Was this sailing a 9 night? It's a 9 night on Adventure that I am considering for next July. Not sure if I'll be bored on Adventure for 9 nights (I'm #teamOAclass lol) but since it's more port intensive and we'll be out all day at each port, I am hoping it might not matter.
  10. Would love to see some pics (only if you have time) and how the full suite benefits go for you this sailing. We have one of these rooms booked next year and although it says you get full suite benefits now, I am really interested to hear first hand how that works out. I am assuming you got a welcome email from their suite concierge? Did it seem to include full benefits?
  11. Not sure if we just got lucky or if it was because we got the port early but for the Anthem GC in July, all of our luggage the we left with the porters curbside were outside of our stateroom by the time we showed up at 1pm. It was such a nice surprise. Last cruise on Symphony we also got it by 1:30pm. But you never know, it can really vary.
  12. I used to say this too until my kids turned about 9-10 and then got bored with the "Disney" type shows. Now, a few years later, I would have to say, DCL has the edge on shows if you have young ones but Royal has the edge with kids 10+. Unless you are a Disney fanatic...but that is a whole other discussion for another place and one I don't care to get into ? This is one of my major dislikes with DCL!!! It drove me nuts!
  13. Really interested to hear about your excursions (Did you book them through Royal?) as I am started to research for Canada/NE for next year.
  14. Yes, like @Atlantix2000 said, it's Kids Sail Free. Sorry for the mix up.
  15. Star class rooms are made a priority. They do not follow the 1pm time frame. From what I understand, the goal is always to get SC guests into their rooms upon embarkation. I can tell you that for us, when we boarded at 11:30am for HM, our room was already ready. Our loft attendant later told us that is the first room they do once guests leave. From what I have heard from other SC cruisers, they have had similar experiences. The only ship where I have heard of them not being ready yet was Anthem. I would think that 12pm is reasonable. Tagging @CGTLH and @AshleyDillo because they did star class on SY. Can’t wait to hear about your experience in the Villa. We just re-priced ours with KSF to make it around $1000pp. It’s was such a great deal!
  16. Jackie is awesome! She is so efficient and kind. Willie was in the Diamond lounge when we sailed but I have heard wonderful thing about him too.
  17. Which ship? Not much as far as specialty goes is open for lunch on day 1. If it’s HM: probably Sabor, Johnny rockets, or Chops/Jamie’s. I can’t remember if Vintages was open. If it’s SY: the only specialty open last week was Playmakers, Johnny rockets, Vintages, and Jamie’s. I wonder with the Villa if ordering lunch for the room would be more convenient for so many people? Let me know what you decide because we have the Villa too next year and I was wondering the same thing. And we’ll have 14.
  18. We went on Indy last year for New Year's. It was great! They had several New Year's celebrations set up throughout the ship, the promenade was made into a Times Square type atmosphere and there was a special dining room menu that night.
  19. It's on the Welcome letter. Also, when you go to the photo kiosk and scan your card, there will already be an option there to select "free Diamond photo" to your cart.
  20. I would also vote for dropping The Key with Sky Class. Sky class benefits exceed the Key benefits so that would be a waste of money.
  21. Did I mention that I want to cruise like @twangster?! So jealous. Remember the lowly Diamonds when you make Pinnacle. At your cruising rate, that should be soon ?
  22. Yes. My bad. I thought @SuperNinja was going on HM but then read the original post over again and it turns out @SuperNinja went on HM and is going on SY. So yes, Sabor not an option. Seeing that it is SY, I would go with what @CGTLH is saying with Playmakers or like @WAAAYTOOO is saying, have your Genie walk you to Chops or Jamie’s, if both are open for lunch on embarkation day. Or like I said before, I know several star class cruisers who have food waiting in their cabins to avoid the madness (eg. sandwiches from park cafe, fresh fruit, cheese, etc.). Or try out CK. We did CK on embarkation day on SY last week. It was nice and quiet there. Food was good. But SY does not rotate their lunch menu halfway through like other ships so we never went back for lunch.
