  1. There is a White party and an 80s party. The night it happens varies. You could check old cruise compasses or if I recall correctly, you're Star Class right? You can also ask your Genie what night. They will know. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass
  2. Yes, at Terminal A, non-US citizens went to another line with a customs officer. All together, ship to curb was very fast. Less than 1/2 hour.
  3. This happened periodically on the Aqua Duck on the Disney Dream and Fantasy as well. One time it was D13 that got stuck. She was so embarrassed because like you described, it was a process to get them unstuck. Your kids are right that waiting in the heat is no fun when that happens.
  4. Really? That is surprising. Or maybe because I am Canadian, we always have to show our passports at both embarkation and disembarkation.
  5. Yes, they will still need to see your passport whether you use paper or digital set sail pass.
  6. Was this the Brickell shopping area? What did you think of it?
  7. I used to print a copy just in case. For our latest cruise on Symphony, I just used the app. As a Plan B, I took screen shots of my set sail pass from the app ahead of time. That gave me two ways to access my bar code (app and screen shot of app). And I agree, I have always assumed that "original travel documents" means passport or birth certificate/driver's license combo.
  8. That is the value in the drink packages right there! For us anyway....
  9. Love this blog for all the same reasons that I love all your other ones @Traveler! Thank you for taking the time. Although it does have some impact on your experience, I personally find that it is well worth it for the memories. It's nice to go back and look after a while. Looking forward to then next one!
  10. We just booked a Townhouse Suites for my cousin’s out of town wedding. It was the 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms that got my attention. It looks good in your pics. I am assuming they are all pretty standard.
  11. ^^^100% agree. This is great advice! We always save it for final payment as we have encountered what you mentioned above and it is a pain.
  12. Our July Symphony cruise disappeared from the website about two weeks out. It sailed full when we boarded.
  13. I was just going to say that the jump from JS to GS is typically $1500-$2000 on OA class ships. @RCIfan1912 I get what you are saying though. I have always felt it hard to justify a JS since it doesn't have full Sky class benefits. There have been a few times where I have booked a JS and made the jump to GS or above after final payment. That softens the blow a bit because there is usually a bit of a drop in price.
  14. ^^^That is the fanciest cupcake that I have ever seen at the WJ!^^^ @Sweety is going to be so jealous!
  15. From my understanding, JS are not really "true" suites as they do not have full suite benefits. I am assuming that is why they get the lowest priority when it comes to Coastal Kitchen.
  16. You don't need to purchase VOOM to use the RC app while on board.
  17. Or you could just email her directly at this point.
  18. Just the cruise fare itself. And it is specific to the person whose name is on the certificate.
  19. I mostly always book non-refundable and re-price often. I have never lost my deposit. The only time you lose that is if you change ship/sail date.
  20. FCC can be used for cruise fare. OBC (on board credit) can be used for drinks, shore excursions, on board purchases, etc.
  21. Sorry to hear @Matt. It’s such a difficult situation, but definitely the more responsible one likely. You always have your cruising community here to lean on. ?
  22. I was confused but I just assumed that you know things because you drink.?
