Hello !  Happy to start cruising again !
I have been to CocoCay but not for a few years.  Some of these passes are quite expensive for a single traveler.  If I book the Beach Club day pass ahead of time and the weather is bad, are refunds offered ?
    Thanks everyone !

Looking forward to our second RC cruise. Cruised Alaska in June. Returning to one of the best beaches in the world, St. John's. Honeymooned there 47 years ago at the  Canel Bay resort. We are taking the St. John Half Day Cat Sail to the island. Resort was destroyed from the hurricanes a couple of years ago.

My wife and I just got back from a Thanksgiving cruise on Anthem. It was our first time at CocoCay. If you've never been there you are in for a treat! Since we were more interested in a peaceful day I booked the 'day pass' in the Beach Club and it was so good that I booked it for this cruise when we got on board. It was a great day at the beach and a great lunch.
This picture was taken in the afternoon at low tide.

If Matt is following this post, I am curious what areas are planned to be redone before Allure arrives in Galveston? Seems like the current passengers should get compensated!

We have stayed there before our Alaska cruise in 2018, a splurge indeed. But we also stayed in a 2 BR suite at the Landis afterwards for a week and it was amazing (and ideally located for that very walkable city!)

Is this roll call for the April 22 - April 29, 2023 sailing? If so, count us in!

We stayed at the PanPacific in Vancouver the night before our Alaska cruise. There is definitely something to be said for a pre-cruise splurge for a hotel. Your vacation starts when you leave your house, why not enjoy the time before you board?

We most  often stay at the Hilton Hampton Inn at Blue Lagoon since they are so friendly and there is a free airport shuttle (plus it is only 10pp for the shuttle to the port). Their Brickell property is also very nice (although pricier and further from the port). But for our post Thanksgiving B2B this year we have lost our minds and have booked an oceanview room at the InterContinental Miami (since we will fly in this time 2 days prior and wanted something a bit nicer for the longer stay).

    I agree.
I would find the best hotel you like at the best rate, and then take Lyft or Uber to the port.

The Beach Club is really incredible. If you like relaxed, pampered beach day with lower crowds, a beautiful pool, and unbelievable food then its for you. If you want beach party then just go to the free Oasis pool. We bought the beach club in Feb for $88pp and totally worth it. Last weekend we were on Indy and the price never came down below &$190pp which like you I deemed too high and opted for regular day at Coco Cay. I wish I would have spent the money honestly. What the beach club offers is exactly what my wife and I want and in the future I will spend the $200pp if thats what it costs.

You need to make your own plans. As a Canadian I have been dealing with this on the US side for my last cruises.
There is a company (Empower Clinic) contracted to do testing at the Vancouver cruise terminal. I’m not sure if the cruise lines will assist with this or not but my experience on US cruises is that the cruise line just provides a link to the shore side testing company and it is up to you to make an appointment and pay. I had a look at the company’s website and it is quite pricey ($130CAD) for a rapid antigen test. If you are flying home from YVR I recommend getting tested there as it is considerable cheaper ($79CAD) for the same test.
On a side note, I am shocked that the US still has the requirement for a negative test to fly home. It’s highly unusual for Canada to remove a restrictive measure before the US.

I don’t agree with this recommendation.
Until something changes, the abbots test is the only at home test accepted by Royal Caribbean.

If you are loyal to Royal your options are Quantum and Ovation out of Seattle or Radiance and Serenade from Vancouver. If your only cruise experience is Oasis then going from that to Radiance or Serenade will be a shock. These 2 ships are excellent sight seeing (and relaxation) ships but offer little else in the way of activities and entertainment. Quantum and Ovation offer many activities and entertainment options. However, because of their larger size they cannot get as close to the glaciers. You could sail quantum or Ovation for the big ship experience and then book an excursion that takes you right to a glacier for a ‘best of both worlds’ experience....

Go to the app, select check in, click on the first person listed, click on arrival time, select desired arrival time, move on to do this for each person on the reservation.
EVERYTHING ELSE, can be done at a later time.  Each person can do their own or you can do it for them.
