  1. Hopefully they put the horns on her like they did with Voyager back in the day.
  2. I will give my personal opinion here. For those of you who travel to land based destinations, say Las Vegas and stay at somewhere like the Signature MDM, Delano, Venetian or even the Cosmopolitan you know what a Suite is like. Unfortunately when you are talking JR Suites all the way up to Grand Suites the rooms and amenities just wont compare with those land type suite experiences. Yes the rooms are larger, yes they look a bit nicer but i would never put any Cruise Ship suite in the same category as even the all suite hotels i listed above. If you enjoy staying in the room more and not feeling "squeezed" into a smaller room then perhaps a suite would be worth it but keep in mind typically a junior suite is around 300 sq feet while most suites at a land hotel are 600 - 900 sq feet. I personally like to spend as little time in the room as possible, especially since i cant even stand up straight in the rooms anyways (6'9).
  3. Does anyone who has been on one of the simulation cruises know if you can still bring two bottles of wine with you? I read through all the terms but didnt see this called out.
  4. Ironic that they lifted the International Travel advisory but Americans are banned from almost everywhere on this planet.
  5. I have to agree here. 7 night cruises, french onion EVERY night, that thick chunk of cheese is just amazing.
  6. I could actually do without the 8 tablespoons of butter per serving. I know I know crazy!!!
  7. Thanks for the info, unfortunately I do not think this type of experience is at all unique to Royal Caribbean.
  8. ANY edible breakfast items! There are SOOOO many things that can me made in bulk (Hashes, Casseroles, Chicken n Waffles that are not overly costly. It wouldnt take much to make breakfast actually decent.,
  9. They will also not allow you to have overlapped reservations within i think 2 or 2.5 hours of each other. If you wanted to grab some sushi at 5 and then dinner at 6:30 and tried to make reservations for both i dont think they will allow that to happen.
  10. I see why they are pushing the NRD but ive also found that after typing in all of mine and my passengers information the price often decreases. This is after filling in the "State and C&A" number on the 2nd step of the booking.
  11. OH i was kidding, i think they lose a lot of customers who say "Too Pricey" then move on to another line/sailing.
  12. Why wouldn't you want to show someone the highest price first so they go no further and avoid booking a cruise.
  13. Now if they would just STOP with the cookie they indefinitely store that takes you to /booked
  14. I do not know if its just me but I received a FCC email for my cancelled cruise with a Dollar amount, Certificate number. Went to redeem it on royals website and within a few hours got a confirmation that it was accepted. 2 weeks went by and it wasnt applied to the cruise remaining balance. Called in and 2.5 hours later they say there was a system glitch and the number was not correct. From the sound of it this is happening a LOT when people have requested FCC for both the onboard purchases and cruise fare from the same sailing. They will not give you the higher amount unfortunately and the terms say this: RCI reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions at any time without prior notice or liability. Offer can be withdrawn at any time without notice.
  15. I would venture to guess that 95%+ of the passengers do not do back to back so you are dealing with such small percentages (total number of people) for this to be a true problem.
  16. just like airlines can get away with "Not spreading" the virus because you are on and off within a few hours, im guessing shorter cruises will be more popular so that you cant pinpoint huge super spreader situations like on a weeklong or 14 day.
  17. If a bartender sees you order a drink, walk away and then come back to order another drink they will immediately question if you handed that drink off to someone else. If it continues they will in fact revoke your drink package and every drink becomes at bar prices. If you are sitting there at the bar drinking quickly they wont question you except for if you get out of control.
  18. My concern is if i call them they will say "OH we gave you too much". I will wait a bit to see if the taxes and fees are refunded. If i dont get a refund then they gave me too little. Heaven for bid they include itemizations of everything they put into the FCC. Anytime you return anything to a store you see EVERY item returned in detail.
  19. I received an email today for a cancelled cruise with a FCC amount that i cant figure out what is consists of. I requested my On Board Purchase also be applied as a FCC but i cant tell if they just merged them all together. My Total FCC doesnt add up to the (Cruise Fare + CPP purchases) X 1.25 so i have no idea what was processed. My question is, Are the Port Taxes and Fees part of the FCC or have people been getting them as actual refunds? Has anyone else noticed what appeared to be their CPP and Cruise Fare all lumped into one big FCC?
  20. If you leave the language vague enough it can mean anything. I dont know but you are right thats how Transferrable typically is used. But in this case it could be used to say it can not be transferred to a new reservation also. We as customers will never win.
  21. Per the FCC terms and conditions, FCC is non transferrable: Terms & Conditions Royal Caribbean International’s (RCI) “Cruise With Confidence” program allows individual guests and guests in non-contracted groups who booked a cruise on or before August 1, 2020, for cruises sailing between June 12, 2020 and April 30, 2022, to cancel their cruise up to 48 hours prior to the vacation start date and have the option to either (i) receive a Future Cruise Credit equal to the full amount of the cruise fare the guest paid for their cruise, or (ii) move their booking to an eligible alternate sailing and receive our “best price guarantee” for the re-booked sailing, or (iii) opt in for our “best price guarantee” on their current sailing. “Eligible alternate sailing” means a booking in the same stateroom category sailing with RCI on the same product and cruise length scheduled within four weeks before or four weeks after the date of the original sailing but in the subsequent year. For those sailings, RCI will protect the guest’s original price and/or promotion so long as the guest moves the eligible booking to the alternative sailing on or before August 1, 2020. If RCI’s “best price guarantee” results in a decrease in the guest’s cruise fare inside final payment, then the difference will be provided to guests in the form of a non-refundable onboard credit for use on the eligible alternative sailing. If RCI’s “best price guarantee” results in a decrease in the guest’s cruise fare outside final payment, the difference will be provided in a rate adjustment. “Vacation start date” means the date of the earlier of: (i) the scheduled embarkation of the cruise; or (ii) any pre-cruise hotel stay or Cruisetour package associated with the cruise and booked through RCI. If the guest chooses to move their booking to an eligible sailing in the subsequent year, any penalties previously assessed based on the prior sailing’s penalty schedule will follow the booking to the new sailing. The Future Cruise Credit portion of the “Cruise With Confidence” program will only apply to bookings for named guests for which cruise fares have been paid in full. If the guest opts to cancels his/her cruise, a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) will be issued for the cruise fare amounts paid to the cruise line. The FCC is non-transferrable and may not be redeemed for cash. The FCC’s value may be applied toward the cruise fare due on a new booking, on RCI for a sailing that is the later of on or before December 31, 2021, or 12 months after the date that the guest cancelled their original sailing . All bookings are subject to availability at the time of the request. If not used on or before the expiration date stated above, the FCC will automatically expire and have no cash value. Restrictions may apply on stateroom category and applicable pricing and promotions. Guest will remain responsible for paying the applicable deposit amounts, taxes/fees, port expenses and gratuities (if applicable) for the new booking. RCI’s “Cruise with Confidence” program does not apply to bookings made by residents of mainland China, and Hong Kong. Program does not apply to chartered sailings or contracted group bookings. RCI reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions at any time without prior notice or liability. Offer can be withdrawn at any time without notice.
