  1. The comedians I've seen do Adult and Family Friendly shows do a different set for each show. It's not the same show with "poop" and "freak" substituting for the expletives.
  2. Looks like anyone going to or from FLL over the next couple days (at the very least) are in for some very trying travel issues.
  3. The automated response is just a confirmation that your request has been received. You should also receive a personal response soon; generally, within about 10 business days once your request has been viewed by an employee. Items requested should be in your cabin on embarkation day. If not, your stateroom attendant will make note of the items you need when they introduce themselves on embarkation day and deliver them by the evening. Typically, while you are at dinner.
  4. You can reprice booked flights that aren't paid off yet? This is a part of A2S that I did not know. (especially since my flights are now a little cheaper than when I booked a few weeks ago!)
  5. Just scrolled to the bottom of the message board page and was surprised to see that the amount of RC Blog members is an even 24,000!
  6. In addition to what's already been mentioned, the Solarium Bistro might also be a good option.
  7. @Bmac, do you have any updates on this topic for me? I've only got 297 days left to find out the answer!
  8. @Zacharius Not being someone that typically books one-ways, I honestly didn't even know that the premium for doing so is pretty much eliminated. I think the more important thing about the guarantee is for getting your flight changed for oversold flights and cancelled flights due to lack of crew or mechanical issues. Weather issues? No one is probably gonna get you there if it's severe enough. Flight changes are one of the biggest reasons I always try to book the earliest flight I can at least one day before the cruise. A cancellation of an early flight gives you a better chance of getting there on an afternoon, evening, or even early NEXT morning flight.
  9. Caribbean Islands are not typically covered by AT&T Cell/Data plans (Coco Cay, Roatan), but are covered while in Mexico (Cozumel, Costa Maya).
  10. For Seattle (from the eastern time zone) I used Air2Sea last year. I liked it for the following reasons. 1. I was able to get flight times that worked for us by Air2Sea offering flights on separate airlines without the additional charges that the individual airlines would incur for booking one-way. 2. Thankfully, I did not need this, but they guarantee to get you to your cruise if flight issues arise by getting you on another flight/flights. 3. Booking far enough in advance, I was able to add the cost of flights to my cruise reservation and pay it off over time instead of all at once. 4. While the standard cost for economy flights is more than an economy flight booked directly, the airfare is refundable. (Also, the Air2Sea refundable rates are considerably less than the airlines refundable rates.)
  11. Here is a link to the thread mentioned by @ChessE4. I'm using this thread quite a bit myself for our January 2024 Harmony sailing.
  12. With all the mathematics needed to figure out the pricing, it's a good thing that I took several algebra courses in college!
  13. Another factor that makes the math seem fuzzy at times: Sometimes the discount reflects a percentage off of the CRUISE PLANNER list price. Sometimes the discount reflects a percentage off of the ON BOARD list price. At first glance of a new sale, you might think the discount is better, but the percentage is a discount of the ON BOARD price instead of the CRUISE PLANNER price.
  14. The "Buy One, Get One 50% Off" is supposed to reflect the price for TWO after buying one full price and paying half for the other. (So, roughly 25% off for two) So, two at $90.00 x 1.5 = $135. $135 divided by 2 = $67.50 each (Advertised 51 cents cheaper.) In the second example, 70% of $90.00 is $63.00
  15. Drink package is good at all venues on the ship. I'm not sure if dining is required, but Harmony's Sabor has it's own bar apart from the dining area.
  16. FYI: Another really fun thing at Blue Lagoon is the Sea Lion Encounter! (Also it's a good deal cheaper to book Blue Lagoon's offerings at their website rather than through the cruise lines, but you probably already know that.)
  17. Ah, thanks for the clarification. You are right, that still sounds like a pretty good deal having the protein powder added.
  18. Are you certain of this? The way I read the bottom of the menu is that protein drinks included. Not being included is odd since the more expensive options of "Signature Juices & Smoothies" are stated to be included. The "included" statement is on both sides of the menu.
  19. Hi Jesse. Welcome to the message boards. Which ship are you asking about? Only Oasis-class ships have protein shakes available in the Vitality Cafe. They are included in both the Deluxe and Refreshment Beverage Packages. Sample menu attached. vitality-cafe-menu-sample.pdf
  20. Rhapsody, Grandeur, Vision, Freedom, Odyssey, and Quantum. They've all been top notch when it comes to accommodating GF needs.
  21. I can second all of this as it relates to my wife's GF needs. I'm surprised by @Montemy2419 being told "NO" about so many items in the MDR with advance notice. I do remember that the old menus had a wheat sprig icon next to items that were either already GF or available to made GF. This really should be added.
  22. I will second this. You can get these on the cheap at any Dollar Tree store and they come two in a pack. I'm not sure which ship you are sailing on, @MKSglitz, but newer ships (Oasis/Quantum class) have an automatic nightlight setting in the bathrooms.
  23. So far, that has been my experience. We are in the Eastern TZ and our Florida based cruises have opened up for check-in at midnight while our Seattle based cruise last year opened for check-in at 3am (Midnight ship's time).
  24. This was discussed quite a bit last year when Anthem's sister ship, Quantum, had ongoing engine issues that could not be resolved due to supply chain problems. IIRC, when an engine is taken offline for repairs or scheduled maintenance, the work is performed while the ship is still cruising, essentially reducing the ship's available power by 25%.
