  1. So getting on in age and having been deemed "Fluffy" by the wife ive been checking ahead at our ship Serenade OTS and noticed the pool doesn't seem to have any steps leading in/out but instead just ladders. Any input on them? Some pool ladders are harder to get out with then others for me. Are they the same standard sizes like you find in a normal pool? Might just end up in the Solarium where i did see some steps leading in and out but was curious about the Main Pool on like Port day or later at night when its less crowded. Thanks!
  2. Thank you! My ship isnt offering a dining package for our 9 day but just cant miss Izumis.
  3. So i was watching Matt doing the videos on Youtube for Advice on Cruising and he mentioned that for Specialty Dining you have to wait until you get on board to make your reservation time. Now a few nights ago I booked Izumis and Chops in the Cruise Planner, selected me and my wife and at the bottom it gave me the option to pick the times I wanted with a span from say 6pm-830pm or something like that. I selected like a 7pm and im assuming thats our actual reservation. It says it on the confirmation email the time too but im wondering why then was he saying you had to wait to be on board? Just a bit confused. The video was only 6 months old so it cant be too out of date id think. Thank!
  4. So ive been researching my ship we'll be on next year "Serenade OTS" and im wondering are the pool chairs plastic or stronger like metal? Im a bit Fluffy as they say and ive cracked some of those cheaper plastic deck chairs, especially when they are exposed to the elements all day. I wasnt sure and was just curious. Some of the ports were looking at like St. Thomas offers beach rentals which seemed like a great idea but not if its....fragile to fluff? Just dont wanna end up with a bill for a deck chair. lol
  5. Perfect, that's what i was hoping to hear. Thank you so much!
  6. That would be great if we didnt! A friend of mine mentioned needing one and so i called RCLs Customer Service last night and the Rep told me id need my Passport for every island, including USVI which didnt seem correct so i figured id ask here. So to leave and reboard the ship even in none US territory we just need our Seapass and DL and thats good enough?
  7. So we booked the Excursion at St. Maarten for the Maho Beach Plane Spotting. I know the island is not part of the USVI and I found out through some research that Maho Beach doesnt have any lockers apparently. So if you need your Passport to get on/off the ship, but your going to the beach...what do you do with it? Mine is the passport book and i dont wanna risk it getting wet in some "water tight" bag, but im also pretty leery about just leaving it on the beach in a towel too. There are other cruisers on the beach so is everyone just leaving it wrapped in a towel? Any ideas would be helpful.
  8. So first time on RCL. Going on Serenede OTS come next year. 9 night in the Caribbean. Booked direct with RCL and i was told because its a long cruise there is no dining package. Is that right? Also im built big and with a big frame. Sometimes chairs with arms can dig into me. Does the MDR have options? Or the Windjammer? Just trying to find options. Thanks.
