  1. A lot of the old school cruising activities are no longer used by RC, like the Midnight buffet. The one and only Ice Sculpture I've seen on a cruise was on my first cruise on Majesty Of The Seas back in 2001. The cruise experience now is a little different from then, but even without those activities you will enjoy sharing the experience with your kids.
  2. ITM group is the company how will build the new cruise port. They are owners of Costa Maya at Mahahual, México and TownCenter at Roatan, Honduras so I suppose the new cruise port will be similar to the ports they already own. http://www.itmgroup.mx/
  3. If you are looking the official RC Deck Plan (not a third party) it should be pretty accurate. You shouldn't be worry.
  4. The App doesn't support Push notifications so if the only thing you are interested in is communications I wouldn't use it. If both have an iPhone you could use iMessage just connecting to the WiFi network of Royal Caribbean without purchasing a Voom package and you will be able to send messages. (Note: you will not be able to navigate or use any other internet related stuff without the package, only iMessage)
  5. And if you are really hungry and is too late you always can order room service ?
  6. I've ordered gifts two times and always had to talk to Guest Services onboard because they never delivered it. Since then I never order Royal Gifts. You experience is an example of the terrible service RC offers in this matter.
  7. The beach area is large, there are some areas that might get crowded but there are also a lot of places where you can rent a lounger an relax. I really liked the beach!
  8. Right there, in the Port of Miami https://www.google.com.mx/maps/place/Royal+Caribbean+Cruises+LTD./@25.7757993,-80.1800308,16z/data=!4m8!1m2!2m1!1srci+office+miami!3m4!1s0x88d9000cd153f173:0xbd70febc8ead0c07!8m2!3d25.7751799!4d-80.1784842 I hope all this ends well for you and your family! I understand you completely
  9. This would be the view from the Ship at Cozumel. As far as I know there are no public beaches near the ship but these options might work for you: Once you leave the port there are two hotels with a small beach facing the Ship. They have day passes and you are right next to the port so you don't need a taxi. The first hotel from right to left (looking the picture) is EL CID https://www.resortforaday.com/El-Cid-La-Ceiba-Day-Pass-Excursions-p/czcoec.htm The Day Pass is something around $65 and is All Inclusive. The second hotel would be Grand Park Royal Cozumel, they also have Day Pass option. The hotel is in the other side of the street (not on the beach) but they have a beach club right in front http://parkroyal.mx/en/park-royal-grand/cozumel I'm not sure of the cost but you can call them, it should be around $65 also.
  10. What is wrong with the train? It was my only option for Skagway ?
  11. Hi Matt, would you recommend just taking a taxi to the park visitors center instead of booking a tour?
  12. I totally agree. As for the misbehaving unsupervised children I just don't get it. I was on Harmony a week ago, on Grease show you are supposed to have a reservation, that means that the kids inside should be with their parents. There were like 5 kids in the front row throwing popcorn to each other... Ok, that is a normal behavior for a kid, but when they ran out of popcorn the started to throw their beverages each other spilling all over the chairs, other passengers and the floor. At this point I was expecting a parent to show up and put some order. Nothing happened, not even a RC staff did anything, they kept screaming, running, and hassling each other and other passengers until they got bored (obviously) and got out. ?
  13. Last week, at the NextCruise office on Harmony I talked with someone who had a manager id and asked him what changes there would be on Ovation next year. He told me that only some small changes will take places. Nothing about a Broadway show or anything else. It doesn't matter, it's a great ship and an awesome trip.
  14. There are 3 pools and the kids area. You can see them on the pic below. I don't know exactly how many hot tubs are but at least there are 3 at the Solarium (no pool).
  15. I noticed that when there is a group or music on the pools deck the Central Park balconies aren't so quiet because they're just in front and below this deck.
  16. Yes, there was chairs available because it was raining. Maybe the picture isn't as clear as I would like it but for example the magazines left were soaked, and there was no other towels on any other chairs because of the weather so it was pretty obvious who were the chair hogs, the only ones left. Probably they even forgot they left their towels there. Even Harmony is a ship with more than 6000 passengers I was able to find a lounger whenever I need it. You shouldn't be stressed for it. ?
  17. I went to Bamboo Beach at Ocho Ríos. The place is great but is pretty far from Falmouth. On our way to the beach I saw the Dolphin Cove place I think you reserved. I don’t know if the tour is good or not but the place is more than an hour away on a bus tour from the ship.
  18. I should say that the towels obviously are soaking wet and the towel station is right behind. ??
  19. This is what happens on Harmony of the Seas at 2:30 pm on a rainy sea day. Chair hogs? No! They must be somewhere near! ?
  20. I'm not sure I get the joke... This is normal, you're entering a Country. Mexico’s Ministry of Agriculture prohibits the import of a number of items because they pose a huge risk for potentially introducing disease or plague into the country. For example, homemade foods, meats, hay/straw, and dirt are all prohibited from being imported into Mexico. Every country has the right to do this and they have very good reasons to do it. The same happens when you enter USA. Greetings
  21. I'm aware of that, actually I've been there before (not on a shore excursion). I only would like to know if someone who took the cruise tour before enjoyed the time there and how long they were able to enjoy the park. ?
  22. The tour is listed as 8 hours, but seems that effective time at the park reduces to roundly 4 hours after transport. Greetings!
  23. A friend of mine has just taken this tour. He arrived in Cozumel in Oasis of the seas. The problem that he mentioned is that the stay at Xcaret park was less than 4 hours because Oasis was leaving Cozumel at 5:30. I will arrive at Harmony at 8:00 AM (ship time) and leave at 7:00 PM (Ship time). Do you think with this time span it's worth the tour and that I could spend more time in the park than 4 hours as it happened to my friend? This is the tour: Xcaret Shore Excursion
