i thought it was just the pizza that was tasteless. 
And YES i would and have done, Unless you have been through a tragic event yourself you will never know how sometimes laughter is the ONLY thing that makes a differnce, as it takes your mind off whatever is ripping you apart inside which in turn STOPS you from doing something stupid.  

Thanks Hayley ,  never booked an excursion on my own before, usually book through Royal.

We were on Navigator in 2016. No tickets needed for theatre shows. Ice shows were allocated based on Muster station ie it was this muster station's 'turn' to tho to a particular showing and again you just showed up. If you wanted to go to a different showing, you had to turn up and see if there were any spare seats about 10mins before the show

Even as "just a recap", this was a great blog, @twangster. Thanks for sharing it! Between you and @coneyraven, I'm definitely getting more and more tempted to try out Lady G at some future time. Would definitely have to be a trip with just the wife and no kids, I don't think they'd find enough to do on the ship with all the sea days. But that really looked like a very nice 9-night leisure vacation. And with an overnight in Bermuda, to boot!

Have you ever wonder how much it costs to charter an entire ship?  I have.  Interesting.  Anyone have $11M surplus cash to charter Oasis for a week?  If so you and 6,000 of your closest friends can sail in style.

The Allure is only 8 years old...I will sail her in 18 days and plan on doing posts in the live blog section about it.

Day 6 - Nassau
On this occasion we joined a few other cruise lines in Nassau where we docked right beside the terminal.

I have to admit I have somewhat avoided Nassau and booked cruises around it for years.  My last stop was in 2002(ish).  A lot has changed and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.   I walked over to the Queen's Staircase and boy was it hot.  I came back to the ship to enjoy an ice cold beer and jump in the pool. 
Our departure was set for midnight so I had an early dinner in the My Time MDR as I prepared for the sun setting and golden hour.




With our departure set for after dark I wandered back onto the pier for some more night shots of the ship.


At some point around 8pm if I recall correctly they opened the casino on board.  They explained they have an agreement with the Bahamas that when they close their casinos for the night ships can open their casinos.  It's one of the few times the casino is open while in port.  At midnight we set sail at a leisurely pace towards our next stop, Cococay.

In my experience the Royal Burger through room service is much better than JR which is pretty much a WJ burger with a sauce they don't have in the WJ.

I don't think you'd get noise from the gym on the deck 11 cabins unless you're in the one which shares a wall with it. The door to the gym would be between the stairwells I imagine so don't think you'd get gym users going past your door either. 

Day Four - Bermuda continued
We awoke to some pretty lousy weather.  I had planned to explore some beaches and areas beyond the Naval Dockyard but the Captain's weather forecast didn't sound very promising and he was right.  I stayed pretty close to the ship leaving my camera on board in case it rained, which it did, a lot. 
Oh darn, guess I'll have to plan another Bermuda cruise to venture past the port area

Our itinerary included an overnight stay in Bermuda which allowed me to take some long shutter exposures and get some night shots of the ship in port.  I didn't bring a tripod with me so I had to get creative to hold the camera still.
