    Anyone tried the Gallery Lunch?

We did the Galley Lunch on Navigator and it was brilliant! Well worth it.

We've also done Chef's Table on Independence and that was also fantastic. it is a set menu but I think there was a choice for the 'main' course. I'll see if I can find a picture of the menu...

To be a true Porn Star Martini, it should come with a shot of prosecco ??

Looks delicious all the same ?

I only know this because the first time I ever ordered one was on behalf of my sister. I thought the shot of prosecco was a freebie and downed it at the bar. She was not happy ?

H.S. social studies teacher here as well! Fingers crossed none of my students will be on my July sailing as we sail out of Galveston and it's only an hour from my school.

What is it with all us teachers and cruising? ?

  4. If you can get $1 bills, I'd go for that as I think they're easier to tip with. Lowest denomination of £ or € available in note form is £5/€5 so your only other alternative is to carry round a pocket full of coins.

I'd imagine it doesn't matter much to crew what currency they receive - they'll have plenty if opportunities to exchange it.

    So lucky!  #jealous

Here in Ontario, we go right to the end of June.  The very end.

But then I get on a cruise 6 days later with the RC Blog gang!

When do you go back to school?

I teach in England. Our schools are in until around 20th July and back beginning if September. (Although I get an extra couple of weeks as I teach at a private school and we finish on 5th July ?)

It was up in the air whether this was going to happen or not. So I was just excited that I was able to book it that I wanted to share my enthusiasm!

    We've all been there! ✋

  6. If you're overnight in port, you can come and go whenever you please up until the 'all aboard' time which is about half an hour before the ship leaves port. E.g. If you dock at 8am on day 1 and aren't scheduled to leave until 4pm on day 2, you don't have to be back onboard until 3:30pm on day 2.

@hayley_bopp I agree that you could get on a shuttle and get to Las Ramblas on your own and walk, shop and eat. But the first time to visit, maybe it would be good to talk the Gaudi tour and the Picasso museum tour.

Just by where the shuttle drops off, you will find rickshaw tours. A great way to see this fantastic city. Several routes available which you can customise to suit you.
