There will not be double points in this scenario, since the booking was not solo at inception
Right, I figure I lose that option by riding it out and seeing if I can find a companion to then switch out the names. To rebook is an extra 1500$ - so I'll look for someone to go with me!

When I made my reservation there were two of us. There is now just me. How do I remove the other guest off the reservation and can I receive double points by keeping the reservation (and paying double occupancy) or is that not an option? Except for the deposits, I haven't paid anything towards the cruise. I wait until the week due.
I logged into my RC account and I don't see anywhere to adjust the guests on a reservation.
The cruise isn't until June 2024.
Thanks for your help!

My opinion so far:
Radiance class: Radiance of the sea. Upgrades food el loco fresh and small slide and splash area on pool for kids.
I didn't realize that Radiance has El Loco? It Doghouse according to deck plans but where is El Loco located? We just got off the Brilliance (sister ship) and they didn't have Doghouse nor El Loco. We are booked on Radiance on an upcoming cruise and I'm gathering all the details that don't seem to be located on their deck plans! Thanks!
We love Park Cafe on the Symphony but was disappointed in the Park Cafe on Brilliance. Was hardly open and had a much smaller menu - we couldn't seem to find it open!

We are back from our cruise and have another one booked. The bathroom light was a scary thing in the middle of the night and complete darkness doesn't work either. Ha.
In our group, one couple had a magnetic battery operated dimmable light they added to the inside of their bathroom door. Touch to turn on but with ability to adjust the brightness with a slide button. She said she got it on Amazon.
I've been looking and can't seem to find anything like what she showed me.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Also- on the last night, a survey was left in our room- room number. A comment about norovirus symptoms AND a survey- as they needed to collect the data and knew that many were sick that did not report to the medical facility onboard.
Did anyone in this cabin experience symptoms of norovirus during this sailing?
yes or no

Prior to Covid we were only on one cruise out of more than a dozen that had so many Norovirus cases that the buffet changed from self-serve to staff-served. The Diamond Lounge buffet shut down. Prior to Covid my wife caught a cold (from kids, likely) on one Christmas cruise. Each of us has had Covid once since the restart, but not until the last day when we departed. There have always been random illnesses that didn't make into the media. Covid is simply more contagious than anything else we have encountered, so it will be around cruising for the rest of our lives. As far as the medical emergencies, we are getting older and things happen....
They switched to staff serve in the windjammer. They sprayed cleaning stuff constantly. We still saw plenty of passengers and crew, by passing the sink after leaving the toilet…. Yes, disgusting!
Medical emergencies on day one removing a whole family after leaving Ft. Lauderdale. At every port I think we had one or more leave the ship for medical reasons. Just made me wonder if I never noticed on other sailings.

We are finishing our 14 night cruise thru the Panama Canal on Brilliance tomorrow. It’s been a great trip and so many great memories. However it has been full of medical emergencies and illness (norovirus).
has this been the norm and I just never noticed? Or is this new since the restart?

I think Matt posted main dining menus since they have changed those this year. I can’t seem to find them to browse. Can you help me find them?

We have booked a few excursions apart from RC (they were sold out) and went with verified excursions.
looking at the apps calendar, what is it used for if not for adding events and person activities on it?
im not seeing anywhere that explains how to use it- or if I can add to it…. I’m only seeing muster on it day 1.

We are trying to figure out how many formal nights will be on our 14 night cruise. Is that somewhere in our documents I’m missing? Or should I somehow know?
thanks in advance!

In our upcoming cruise, we had already purchased the water package (we aren't alcohol drinkers) and the internet package for one person - when we were given OBC for as shareholders.
How did you use your OBC?
I'm thinking of using it for either an excursion or diet cokes. Ideas?

You tell the staff you want to use the coupon as it is loaded to your seapass card. The coupons will be available per person who ranks in C&A and are two per sailing.
Thank you!

Can anyone explain how the 2 coupons per sailing works 50% off any glass of wine, beer or soda. Is it a physical coupon we are given? Is it something you request when purchasing?
How does it keep track?
And is it 2 coupons per stateroom or per person per sailing?

We are scheduled on this cruise after a 7 day land tour with three other couples. Looking forward to this one!

There were many times listed. We all grabbed the earliest on the list- 11:30. The check in seems to begin at 11:30 and thirty minute increments until 3.
I doubt there was an earlier check in time? But who knows since no one was notified and we just happened to see it was available to select and text messages between our group and we all nabbed the same time slot.

@Eyeonhevn Have you been able get a time reserved yet?
No, we are still getting the "We aren't quite ready for you yet" on the app and also website. We all check once a day or more! We have never received an email from RC that its "time to check in!" but we were at the 45 day point and the app and browser showed the check in button and let us add CC and passport and photos and such.
I've checked over at CruiseCritic roll call and no one is reporting they have been able to select a check in time either. We've called RC and they just keep saying to wait for 30 days before which is next week.
I guess we wait....

From a tech perspective, are all of the following at the latest available versions?
Royal App
iOS / Android OS
Windows / MacOS
browser (chrome, safari, IE, Edge, etc…)
I always check in via the website, but any number of out of date software things could throw a link in things.
Good Luck!
Those are always great ideas! Thank you. I checked and I’m up to date in all. I did find roll call on CC and the last few posts are folks with same issue.

I had this on the weekend with the app.
What I found is if you click on the checkin button it said come back later, but if i swiped right to left and brought up my profile the option to select a time was available there. Hopefully this works for you to.
That doesn't seem to do anything. I can't seem to get my profile to come up with a swipe right to left. I have to click on profile and then nothing but my profile is there. No times. If it was just me - I'd think it was just something about my account. But with 7 of us traveling separately but eating together - and we are all experiencing the same thing there MUST be a glitch, right?
-
Another update - still no sign in app or website of times for check- in. We are in a holding pattern and still can't complete check-in beyond passport/consent for photography/credit card, etc.
No way to select a time - and the message continues to say: We aren't ready for you yet. CHeck back closer to cruise date.
Our check in was Feb 17.
Southbound Alaska cruise - coming home from Vancouver
in Royal Caribbean Discussion

We are watching the flights for our summer 2024 Southbound Alaska cruise and the cost for the flights is really high. I'm wondering if there is a cheaper way to get home after disembarking in Vancouver? Is there a way to cross to Seattle - and then fly home? Anyone have alternative options or should we just book flight from Vancouver to home?
