  1. Yeah Escape Room is available in Cruise Planner, Laser Tag only onboard. The LT is pretty popular but sometimes run concurrent to early dining so that eases demand a bit. Both super fun.
  2. I certainly agree that 14 is plenty old enough to do Thrill on their own, from a cost standpoint Beach Cabana's and Thrill Park Cabana's have the same cost on an upcoming sailing of mine, but the Thrill Cabana's include the Water Park admission which would be about $200 a head on this particular sailing. (crazy Icon priced sailing) So I think I would do the Thrill Cabana and there is at least one admission you won't buy for the 14 year old and if anyone else wants to enjoy any of the slides or wave pool, they can as well. You give up beach access, but I suspect your itinerary has a few stops that have good beach locations.
  3. I can recommend the Beef Tenderloin from TOF Menu. I also get the Lamb Rogan Josh whcih I enjoy. I generally take a bite of my wife's Salmon too. I like TOF. French Onion as an appetizer and the cookies with a scoop of ice cream for dessert.
  4. I didn't see any of it, but from earlier in the thread...
  5. That one always boggles my mind too. Get as many as you need to feel full. I wouldn't mind seeing that Moroccan Ahi Tuna Steak re-appear. Lamb Shank is renamed Braised Lamb but it is the same dish and is readily available.
  6. I agree that the complimentary options should be readily available. I don't equate them not being in Café Promenade or Sorrento's as forcing anything. There was water to drink if you are saying that because of excessive thirst you had no choice but to buy a drink and thus feel forced.
  7. I hope they really are taking a dip. If this is just about hogging the chair when they are away, it's really shameful. Us humans are a strange breed. One of the first things we teach our children is how to share, but as we age into adulthood, as a society, it becomes clear we were only faking it the entire time.
  8. I think one is on a bus and the other in a private car.
  9. Both people have to buy The Key and both get Internet.
  10. Awesome lead off expecting hurricane season snark from a blog full of cruisers also sailing during this time of year! On the chairs, I think your expectation should be similar to your previous 9 cruises. Chair hogs will be out expressing their entitlement by sequestering chairs for their possible future return. If you can't get chairs exactly where you want, look at your second choice, then your third and so on. No idea on if PDCC will be cancelled but I suspect not. It absolutely won't rain the "entire time". "So Windy" and "Too Rocky" are relative so I'll shoot you a maybe on those. How do I go with the flow? I use the coping skills I learned as a wee lad. Generally I don't focus on the few negatives in my view, but instead turn around and look at the vast number of positives. Relax @Bridgetbien, the purpose is to unwind, not to wind yourself up tighter. Enjoy your cruise.
  11. Vacation mode is a thing for sure. People are weird. If they are taking a cruise in a few months, they buy a package today, pay for it next month and then go on the trip and order what they will feeling free and happy that they avoided a big bill at the end as if that's the only way to do it. I suggest for those not sure they need a DBP (if you're sure you need it, you need it), to simply add it to the cart, go to checkout and see the full amount, then cancel it and put that amount aside that day (or next month if they want to simulate charging it). Then at the end of the cruise they have that money to pay the drink tab and what remains is their savings. Vacation mode need not be sacrificed.
  12. They will let her order from the regular menu no problem.
  13. Maybe another guest you meet onboard would be able to use it.
  14. I used to participate in Formal Night when I could rent a tux and have it waiting for me, pressed onboard with a standard coat for 1 night and the white dinner jacket for the other. Beats lugging the gear.
  15. Thanks @FionaMG! it is the same for Giovanni's Table on an upcoming cruise. I did a cancel rebook and saved $26. I don't see anything for Giovanni's Kitchen on my Icon sailing. Not sure if that is Kitchen related or Icon related
  16. Because there could never be 3 people who feel differently about something that is so objective and clear cut for everyone like food. Everyone should just taste and see. Their taste buds are the only true review they need. The only one that matters for them.
  17. Hey Pop Pop, it will probably be 3 tables of 6 or maybe 2 tables of 9 (10/8 maybe). You don't really want a table for 18, it's impossible to interact with 17 other people at a table. the move is the smaller tables and mix around on nights to have some dinners with everyone. Sounds like a fund cruise!
  18. Maybe they tasted so good because you were starving from subpar MDR on that cruise.
  19. I'll defer to your greater knowledge of National Emergencies Act. I certainly have no idea.
  20. Hi @Schagane! I have it booked for May 0f 2024 so I haven't yet taken it. I expect it is going to take a solid 6 hours from when you walk off the ship, so with cushion, I wouldn't do it without 7.5-8 hours in port. Be mindful however that you will have a private driver so you can likely customize and ensure your arrival back to port on time. Their business is designed around the cruise tourist.
  21. Your own taste buds are the best review possible. You have that now and I'm sure it's a load off.
  22. Local businesses are suing the town over it. Not sure if they will prevail, probably not. It's the town that will suffer when the businesses fail and move out.
  23. That particular Symphony TA cruise seemed to have kitchen issues. Not just Ben and David. While I don't love their content, I tolerate it depending on the topic, but find my palate and there's are not necessarily aligned. That one video and cruise are certainly responsible for a lot of bad expectations and I certainly believe they reviewed the experience exactly as they had it.
