  1. Oh yeah, all my cruises are missing too. Hopefully everything's just repopulating (sorry more tech-knowledgeable people if this isn't a thing). I had tried it just 10 minutes ago and it was still down. Fingers crossed it all shows back up (it will) cuz I booked 2 new cruises today and I'm ready to look for excursions and drinks and restaurants and all of the other fun extras!
  2. I'm on Allure October 1 and it's available for reservations.
  3. Agreed. "Cleaner" feels very disrespectful for their effort, workload, and kindness. Stateroom attendant.
  4. Do you need another person to say buy it now? Buy it now! 67.99 is a good price to start with - I've cancelled and repurchased it and a few other things on my next cruise (and my last). I regret not getting the UDP on my last price when I first saw it because it never got anywhere close to that price again over a 6 month period. Have a great cruise!
  5. I used packing cubes for the first time for our last cruise and - wow - love them. Got different colors for myself and my husband, which also helped with cross packing (I hate cross packing, but understand the need these days.) I also could not figure out what to do with the super large ones, so will try your solution! Everything came out of the packing cubes so neatly - I think fewer wrinkles than in a regular pack even. I got mostly regular packing cubes and one set of compression packing cubes for the bulkier stuff. Thanks for the ideas and have a great cruise!
  6. I'm sorry that your family members got COVID Richie, it really sucks. But would you not have been just as exposed at a crowded land resort, which also would have been packed the last week of summer vacation? Or DisneyWorld or any other family vacation destination? Yes, cruises are back to being crowded, but the point that @tonyfsu21 is making completely valid - you were and are exposed many other places to every germ out there, not just COVID. I got COVID after my June cruise. I am also vaxed and fully boosted. We had to test before cruising still then. But then after you get your negative result everyone is out and traveling to the cruise on planes, in hotels, in restaurants - and it just sucks but it happens. I'm more inclined to think I got it walking through O'Hare or Newark than on the ship, but I will never know. I was grateful that it seemed to be the mild summer variant and was feeling great again in a few days - AND planning my next cruise!!!
  7. It is refundable OBC though, so if you don't use it for purchases on the ship, it will get credited back to the card that you place on file for ship purchases after your cruise. We cancelled one excursion for my husband and had the excursion company cancel an excursion for both of us on our last cruise. Somehow I just managed to spend all the OBC anyway .
  8. We are not discounting your experience, but we just want to know what happened to make it the worst cruise ever in case it's something we can all learn from. I think you'll find as you hang around more that this message board is generally full of people trying to help others learn and have great experiences, so any info you can share is a good thing! Yes! I want to know as much as possible about everyone's experience as I try to plan my next several cruises. That's why I spend way too much time on these boards looking at almost every post!
  9. We flew in August 10th. It was still required then and also needed to loaded into Verifly, which American Airlines was using then. They did check the form after we went through Spain customs before we could get our luggage (after you got your QR code it told you which line you would get in. I printed mine too, which simplified passing the officials guarding the lines. Obviously things have changed a lot in the last month. If it recommends you do it, I'd do it. It was easier than the ArriveCan form.
  10. Also, please tell them not to worry - they don't HAVE to do it by themselves. When they get on the ship there will be crew members that can direct them to wherever entertainment bookings are being done. There's a box office, but on embarkation day there is also usually a spot where they're doing bookings such as Bolero's or the Bionic bar. I hope they have a great cruise!
  11. If you're one that is looking for a place to dress up you will not be out of place on Formal or Dress Your Best nights. There's a lot of variety, but you will still see sequined dresses, full length gowns, tuxes, suits, the full range of fancy clothes...and also a lot of people who choose not to dress up. When I'm cruising with my husband, we will dress up at least one of the nights. When I cruise alone I just do casual. Do it your way and have a great cruise!
  12. I believe it was just not feasible to get all shows on every ship up and running right away for the restart - every show needs rehearsal space/time, choreographers, tech staff, etc. Wonder has 3 shows going in the Royal Theater. Quantum is rehearsing (or is in the process of adding) their 2nd main theater show back in. I don't know about all of the other ships - I would guess that the Entertainment group's goal is to get back to more shows across the board, but it's a process.
  13. Hi! I know I'm not the one you asked, but did you know you can access this all in the app even ahead of time? You know how there's the Daily Planner on the app - well, right under that is the blue "Welcome Aboard" banner. Click on the Daily Planner, and once there on Day 1, select the Welcome Aboard banner. On the first day, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to see the attire (casual for me). Then you can just click Day 2 and the attire will be at the top from then on out. For me in the Allure October 1 cruise, Day 2 is formal, Day 3 is Wear your White, Day 4 is casual, Day 5 is Caribbean, Day 6 is Colorful '70's, Day 7 is Wear your Best, and Day 8 is casual. Hope that made sense and have a great cruise!
  14. There will be both early and late showtimes to accommodate either MDR dining time - or pretty much any other restaurant reservation. One tip often given on these boards is to look at an old Cruise Compass that mirrors your sailing to get an idea of the schedule for the week. Anything can change from past sailings, but just to get an idea. The Cruise Compass link is at the top of the page, but here's the page for Oasis: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass?ship=275 Have a great cruise!
  15. I've been on both this year. Absolutely love Wonder and enjoyed Oasis too. Wonder is obviously fresher, shinier, newer )with very comfortable beds). One huge difference for me is that while on Oasis, we had a sea day with very heavy rainstorms & cold all day, which rendered the Solarium completely unusable, and it's a pretty big space. The Solarium on Wonder is completely enclosed and climate controlled. The Royal Theater shows on Wonder are way way way way better too (most people do not like Cats on Oasis it seems) Both ships are incredible, but if the itinerary is also better for Wonder, that would be my choice. I would not hesitate to sail on Oasis again either though!
  16. I tagged her because I know she is on the boards often she would get a notification. Hope she or someone else on Navigator sees your posts!
  17. If it's not until May, perhaps it's just too early to make reservations? That's 8 months away, but who knows...
  18. Not sure if you're someone who does The Key or not, but the Chops lunch in MDR on embarkation day is included and yes, is an absolutely wonderful way to start your cruise!
  19. It's currently listed at 24.99 (+ gratuity) for my next cruise. I think and up to 29.99 really is a great value for the meal you're going to be able to select at Chops!
  20. Agreed. I've done several repricings this year of dining and drink packages etc.. While it may have taken up to 3 days to show up online on my credit card, the credit from Royal has always been dated the day that I did the actual transaction (or maybe once the day after when I was repricing later in the day).
  21. We use WhatsApp for messaging when on the ship - should work across all devices since it's not a "built in" app like iMessage.
  22. If you have the Royal app already installed, look at Dining - Main Dining - and select a day to get a general idea of what is offered. For example, on my next cruise, on Day 1 it lists a No Sugar Added Pear & Blueberry Cobbler. On Day 2 a No Sugar Added Peach Shortcake. Day 3: No Sugar Coconut Layer cake - etc etc. So a good variety. I also remember seeing sugarless desserts in Windjammer.
  23. The children's menu is right at the bottom of this sample menu: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/menus/chops-grille-menu-sample.pdf
  24. Just checked mine - bought at 17.99 4 hours ago. Now up to 19.99. I believe that they do cut off sales of The Key at a certain number as I kept waffling the first cruise that I was thinking about purchasing it for and when I finally decided to go for it, it was "sold out".
