allure returns in 2026 All Things Galveston
Done replied to Galveston Steve's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
In fact all current itineraries available for booking for all the ships out of Galveston, May, 2023 - December, 2023 are exactly the same. Let's hope mid April additions offer something else.- 965 replies

We used to be able to upload photos from the web interface but I haven't found a way to do it from the web in recent years. Our pictures are at least 4 years old.

lesson 2: make sure the pool towel attendant records you returned the towel(s). I have seen people dump their towels in the used towel bin while the attendant was dealing with another passenger and walk away. Their return of the towels wasn't documented.

Ovation of the Seas 2021 Alaska entertainment schedule
Done replied to Matt's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Is there any advance info on the Music Hall band(s) or are they booked much closer to the individual sail dates? -
Any decent home web home page (I use Yahoo) will allow you create a profile and to customize and display 15 min delay real time stock prices for the averages (like S&P) or individual stock symbols.

One nice thing about a JS on a Quantum class ship like Ovation is 2 bathrooms, a full bath with a tub/shower, and a half bath. The downside is the location gamble. Some of the JS's are located directly across from the stair and elevator lobby. It is a high traffic area. If you are early to bed expect some boisterous clubbers walking by you cabin in the wee hours of the morning.

The first day we can perform the online checkin of our October sailing on Harmony is on the last full day of our August cruise to Alaska. I guess I know one day I will be using one of our Diamond Plus free internet days

We are doing a B2B as well. Are there any laundromats near the Seattle cruise port?
-
As I understand it the boarding time assignments and stricter adherence to them was implemented as a health protocol to reduce crowds to better facilitate social distancing. I am wondering if helps with the boarding chaos that would result pre-pandemic as everyone arrived at the same time to get on the ship? Looking into your crystal ball, do you think the assignment and enforcement of boarding times will be a practiced continued as capacities increase?

We haven't been able to cruise since the restart in 2021. We do not cruise again until August. I am jealous of the earlier restart passengers being able to enjoy the ships without big crowds. I expecting our August cruise will be at close to full capacity unless there is another COVID surge. In that respect I am glad we didn't cruise during reduced capacities. I won't complain about the crowds as much

We book junior suites and while the cabin classification has the word "suite" in our experience JS's do not have all the perks that come with GS and above. May JS passengers also embark up to an hour earlier than the assigned time?

Yikes! I always wondered why the cruise lines ships were foreign flagged.
-
How much more would it cost the cruise lines to register some of their ships in the USA? That would make the PVSA moot for those ships.
-
I respectfully disagree. I have seen people slide a finger on the serving utensil to taste the food, lick that finger, then do the same thing at a different dish down the line. YUK!

Crown and Anchor tier levels need changes?
Done replied to Censored's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
There could be 36 tiers but how they are earned is the question. I have said several times in our personal situation we will never earn Pinnacle status so we are no longer tied to RCCL. We will try other cruise lines. -

Where on the app are you finding the lobster night information?

Better Website For Researching and Tracking Pricing Options
Done replied to JSB_Z51's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
FYI - After you get the price information you are looking for the is an RC icon in the upper left corner of the screen If you click on it it offers navigation back to search results or home screen. Price checking doing mock bookings it certainly a PITA but if I put on an RC hat, why would they want to make finding cheaper fares easy? -
Departing Seattle flight at 12:40 after Ovation Cruise???
Done replied to luv2sail's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I think you should be fine for a 12:40pm flight. Anything past noon is usually not a problem. -
Anyone used RCL for transfer from ship to airport before?
Done replied to Goldie 2001's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We have used their transfers as well and we found they were expensive and as stated before, not an option if you're on a tight schedule. On one cruise they actually parked the bus short of the terminal as we were told the drop off area was too congested and they were told to hold back until it cleared. We sat in view of the cruise terminal for 45 minutes. One couple asked to get off and were told they could walk if they wanted but their luggage was staying on the bus until it was able to drive the drop off point. -
Why get the Deluxe Beverage Package when one is Diamond Plus?
Done replied to Marc's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I suggested in a different post our plans as we just arrived at Diamond Plus. We have the RCL Visa card and used it almost exclusively to gain reward points. We are redeeming these points to get on board credit. We will use the 5 drinks each and if necessary, order other drinks ala carte, against the OBC.
