  1. I agree. This is a fabulous site. You can really tell when they are trying to fill up a ship. Thank you so much Ashley.
  2. I only have one previous cruise in 2020 to compare with the two this year so far. The crew, especially our room steward and the waiters in the main dining room, were so gracious and really showed a personal interest in us as a group. I also appreciated the intense cleaning that went on all around us, without it being intrusive. It seemed to me that Royal Carribean put a lot of time into the planning of getting passengers on and off the ships with minimal exposure to other people. The requirement to be vaccinated, pre-testing, health screening and check in procedures all made me feel comfortable enough that I wasn't worried about being exposed to Covid; a very nice feeling.
  3. I can attest to this. My granddaughter was adopted and her birth certificate and driver's license were in her new name, but her insurance never got changed, so her vaccination record was in her birth name. We brought BC, DL, vaccine record and adoption papers. It all went like a breeze. We did, however, call RC and have them put a note on her reservation.
  4. Absolutely. Scammers are getting more clever all the time. Spouse just went through this with another "scammer story" and it was a nightmare.
  5. I received the security error, but there is a button you can click to accept the risk and go on.
  6. When we were on Independence, they had the football games in the Playmakers lounge, but not the one we wanted to see. We strolled up to the Pub and since it wasn't crowded, asked the bartender if we could switch the TV to the game we wanted. He was very willing to oblige.
  7. Has anyone used this parking garage in Miami (Premiere Met 3)? I'm curious because they say they don't open until 10:30 on the morning of your cruise, but I was wondering if there was a line up waiting to get in the garage. I would just like someone who has parked there to tell me about their experience.
  8. Both of ours were blue out of Galveston. One was a royal blue ribbon, the other was a light blue rubber bracelet.
  9. The problem is forgetting where he is going and getting lost, then getting agitated. It's a medical issue and appears more often in unfamiliar surroundings.
  10. We just got off the Adventure, had our first balcony room. We have decided for us that a balcony is a waste of money. We did not spend any time in our room and never sat out on the balcony. But this is something that will be a personal decision for you. Personally, I would have liked to sit and read out there, but my husband likes to smoke cigars and unfortunately, I have to be near him so he doesn't get lost.
  11. On Indy, as well as others, there is a smoking area on Deck 4, port side. It is a nice quiet area. Usually have lounge chairs after the first day.
  12. How well does the adhesive stick? I have eczema on one foot and I have to use a steroid cream on it similar to vaseline. Do you think they would stick with that?
  13. Adventure, Nov. 26-Dec. 1, about 2400. Windjammer was closed for dinner first night, but open every night after.
  14. Thank you so much. I will have to try this.
  15. We've been to Galveston twice this fall and have parked in Port of Galveston parking. Their shuttle service is superior. Very quick, especially when it was 3:00 and I had already been to my room, had a drink and lunch, and thought I had left my money in the car and we had to go back and get it. Back on the ship in 30 minutes.
  16. Help out my ignorance, please, if you feel comfortable answering. What is mole skin?
  17. Has anyone done the all day snorkeling at Coco Cay? It says stop by and get equipment, but doesn't mention a cost? Is there one? Anything else I should know?
  18. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. I am very thankful to be a part of this group; I have learned so much. We will be driving to Galveston tomorrow from Arkansas to sail out Friday. Hope it doesn't rain too much. I won't have pictures of Thanksgiving Dinner, but maybe I can update others on Christmas Decorations.
  19. I have had two say 3 days and one says 2 days. Go figure.
  20. Never cruised on Oasis yet. Tell me about the Solarium Bistro. What is the experience/food like? Is there a cost?
  21. When you first go into the Cruise Planner, wait for the menu to complete loading. Once the Beverages have separated from the Dining, you can hover over Beverages and then over Deluxe Beverage Package (or whichever) and then click on it. It will come up with the price.
  22. One of mine has DBP down about $9.00. The others are still the same. Thanks for the heads up.
  23. Adding to this discussion, in my early 30's (a senior now) I had a sort of vertigo. My doctor told me that the hair follicles in my ear were sending the wrong message to my brain. He suggested that I reproduce the movements that caused the vertigo, all the while telling myself "I am not dizzy". It's not an instant cure, takes a few days of treatment, but better than taking a pill.
