  1. Does anyone know if the tests were antibody tests? I believe that if you had the virus, and were asymptomatic, and got the vaccine, antibody tests could show that you at one time had the virus due to the antibodies showing up. Thus giving a false positive.
  2. This is what is really important: New cases on May 12 in the USA were 35,484. On June 10, 11,882. And the world as a whole, cases have decreased almost 50% over the same time period. The cruise industry has a great plan in place when a case pops up. But saying that, I do feel that we are doing way too much testing. If you test every person who is coming on a ship or even leaving a ship you are eventually going to find a case or two.
  3. Exactly! Just as there is not way to stop a cold from being on cruise ships. And yes, zero Covid cannot be the goal as it is an unattainable goal.
  4. I would say not until cruising is back in full force and RC has had time to get revenue back up.
  5. We are booked for Aug on Allure. But I agree with Matt. Right now it seems there is a 50-50 chance of going or not going. I will be 100% sure we are going when I step on the ship.
  6. This is going to be so much easier than standing in a large group at the muster station. The last cruise we went on, not RC, we had to wait in the casino, where smoking is allowed, we don't smoke, and it smelled terrible.
  7. Our cruise on Allure of the Seas on Aug 22 will be stopping at St. Thomas and St. Kits. It is important to do your homework in regards to visiting these islands. US Virgin Islands requirements: Every traveler aged five or older who enters the U.S. Virgin Islands, by air or sea, including anyone in-transit to another destination, is required to use the USVI Travel Screening Portal and submit a COVID-19 test result prior to travel to avoid processing delays, enhanced health screening and/or mandatory self-quarantine ○ Without travel certification from the portal, passengers may not be able to board an aircraft or vessel to the Territory ○ Upon arrival, you must produce your original test result and travel clearance email received from the Travel Screening Portal to avoid processing delays ○ The secure portal can be accessed at www.usvitravelportal.com COVID-19 Vaccination Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination does not supersede the COVID-19 testing requirement set forth by the Government of the U.S. Virgin Islands. ● Travelers who have received a COVID-19 vaccination are required to use the USVI Travel Screening Portal and submit a COVID-19 test result prior to travel. There are also forms that must be filled out St. Kitts requirements Effective May 29, 2021, only fully vaccinated travelers will be allowed entry into St. Kitts & Nevis. Exemptions for Citizens, Residents, and non-vaccinated children under 18 traveling with fully-vaccinated parents or guardians. A traveler is considered fully vaccinated when two weeks have passed since receiving their second dose of a two-dose vaccine series (e.g., Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, or AstraZeneca/Oxford) or two weeks after the traveler has received a single dose vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson's/Janssen). With St. Kitts it gets a bit confusing. They state that only fully vaccinated travelers will be allowed entry, but on their travel form page it talks about having to show proof of a Covid test before entering. As this makes no sense I will be emailing them directly to get confirmation. Either way, remember that it is very important to do research of the ports you will be visiting before you head out on your wonderful cruise.
  8. We are on the Aug 22nd sailing. Have not heard anything yet on if our destinations are changing or not. Funny part is when anyone asks my wife where we are going on our cruise, she says 'I don't know, I'm just happy to be going on a cruise.' lol
  9. No, no, no. I live 20 minutes from Port Canaveral. I love the closeness when we go on a cruise.
  10. Interesting bit of information that I may have found out. I was just doing a ghost reservation for Allure on Aug 29th and it appears that every other cabin is available to book, unless you are booking connected cabins. At least that is what it appears to me. Inside cabins are not that way. That may show that they are going to go with 50% capacity.
  11. I just saw that it is no longer available to book. Our Allure Aug 22 cruise was a reschedule from our Harmony cruise that was canceled last Thanksgiving.
  12. We would love that. It would be great to be on Allure when she is not at full capacity. Usually don't notice all the people aboard when she is at full capacity anyway.
  13. We will be on Allure Aug 22. 50% would be great!! Not sure if they would go that low on an Oasis class ship
  14. I'm not sure if anyone knows the answer to this question. Has RC stated anything concerning if the ships will be 50% capacity, 75% or 100%?. Not including the test cruises.
  15. Great pics Steve. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to get back on Allure in August.
  16. I see that it say or in the Diamond Lounge during happy hour. So my take is they can be used at any time.
  17. Thanks Matt for the videos. I was watching Jays life stream. I to live in the area.
  18. This is a great site to see Odyssey come in: https://www.portcanaveralwebcam.com/ We, Port Canaveral, will have the most ships in port than before the pandemic started. Odyssey of the Seas Carnival Mari Gras Disney Fantasy Carnival Liberty
