Royals first prerequisite was reading comprehension, so all these people failed

Don't forget to post your credit card info along with your address, pets name, and street you grew up on so you can be added to the OFFICIAL wait list!

They did, however, get coverage on most media platforms based on the volunteer rumor. If that was intentional, it was BRILLIANT! ??

This thread is the equivalent of the facebook posts that say Ellen is going to give the first 500 people who share it, $500.

At least 350 new accounts just to "volunteer" and most are probably wondering why they haven't heard back from Royal Caribbean about their offer to volunteer.
"I posted my information. Why haven't they contacted me yet? Do they even check the website?"

Hi everyone, I know we get heated debating which dessert is the best one to order, or if a balcony room is worth it, but let's keep these basic rules in mind when chatting here.
No profanity No personal insults No political discussion This includes tropes about politicians and generalizations about political parties No debating religion Keep your posts relevant and accurate to each specific thread. We can all have our little fun within each thread but please make sure the information you're putting out there is correct and current.   Topics not related to Royal Caribbean may be removed. Posts or comments encouraging cruisers to break any Royal Caribbean policy is not allowed and will be removed.

While I'm tempted to lock the thread, it's bringing a LOT of people to the site, which is potential income for @Matt.  So I'm just removing personal info at this time.

This thread finally got me, a long time lurker, to register. And to answer the hypothetical question: nope. Too much hassle with travel restrictions, I’m also high risk for covid and I don’t have the possibility to spend a week or more of my vacation time on a “working holiday”.

I was thinking that test cruises with highly motivated test subjects wouldn’t give the correct info for how passengers act in various situations. Thinking the test subjects would be self-selected to people who read and follow instructions, extra careful etc. But who knows.

Please don't shut the thread down. As a social experiment it will be interesting to see how many "applications" it ultimately gets.

As a glass half-full kind of guy, I think @Matt may have accidentally provided RCG an invaluable service: a database of individuals who should ABSOLUTELY 100% NOT be involved on a test cruise due to an inability to process information and/or follow directions.  I'd think Dr. Johnson, Dr. Gottlieb and the rest of the Healthy Sail Panel would appreciate dodging this entire magazine worth of bullets.

This thread just gets funnier and funnier.  Best one in a long time.  I too would like to volunteer.  However, I think the best way to trial all of these protocols is to test them under the most severe conditions.
I volunteer to captain which ever ship is chosen.  The largest ship I have been at the helm is a 17.5 ft Norseboat.  I have never tipped it (although I have come vey close).  I honestly say I would be, by far, the worst captain in the fleet.  Still, we need to have the worst conditions at sea to really stress the systems.  I will be bringing along some help:
Chief Medical Officer: Major Frank Burns (all you young people can look it up). Master Lookout:  Mister Magoo Anti-Piracy Watch: Jack Sparrow Navigator: My Mom (I loved her dearly, but she never took the same route home for our trips from Plattsburgh). ?
    CAPTAIN CURT FROM CANADA

No one here can answer your question.   No one here can perform a comparative analysis between your favorite brands and what Royal Caribbean uses on board.
We have tried to illustrate what might be provided on board and it appears that you are looking for a different answer.
Suggest you contact Royal Caribbean on social media and ask them your question.
