Since Michael Bayley likely reads this blog every morning, I feel it is our duty as cruise fans to provide suggestions which might help Royal Caribbean stay in business. Once sailings resume, a potential reduction in passenger capacity may be in place. Therefor a reduction in crew seems appropriate. I think passengers could step up to fill the void and Royal could reward them accordingly.
Job-Sing washy washy song at Windjammer entrance. 
Reward- drink package (helps with job)
Job- Scan ocean for other ships/obstacles and report hazards to captain.
Reward- keep the binoculars (if voyage is free of collisions)
Job- be a cook at Izumi Hibachi
Reward- Unlimited dining package (if egg into hat trick is successfully executed)
Job- fix a plugged stateroom toilet
Reward- a new Royal Caribbean branded outfit

These are some of my ideas and I’m sure Mr. Bayley would like to read others as well.
 
 

Made reservation for Allure for February 2022 last week. Just called the new sale they currently have saved us $122 dollars. Might be worth checking!!

I need to get me on a B2B and then B2B2B... I am sort of tempted to book the 3-night before our 4-night on 12/6... lol... 
3 nights just solo... and then 4-nights with the fam/kiddo! Then off to Disneyland!!

I am so happy RCI is being bold and aggressive in pricing and hopefully follow through with an aggressive marketing tactic for the West Coast Market. I used to work in management for McDonnell-Douglas. Boeing sold more planes by being bold and aggressive with pricing and advertising. Results? Boeing bought out MDCorp. I retired from Boeing/McDonnell-Douglas. 
There is a lot of $$$ in those hills waiting for a targeted marketing campaign. Fight! RC fights and RC wins. 

Mpoole3, those prices were definitely aggressive. I looked at those 3/18/22 suites and was trying to decide between the GS, GT, or OS. Eventually, my choice was to go bold like RCL's pricing and decided on the OS. While the agent doing some typing putting my order in the system, I accidentally hit the 3/25/22 week during a refresh and saw the RS for just hundreds of dollars more. When the agent came back on the phone, I asked him if the 3/25 RS was still available at the price and switched to it.

Dang it. Now I will be getting on when you are getting off.
If we were on the same cruise I would have thrown a party in the RS on a sea day and had a group in.

I was so very concerned Royal Caribbean might be cautious by resting on their name for being the best, or worse yet, tentative in attacking the West Coast Market. The West Coast market is 'ripe for the picking' with an aggressive marketing campaign. I know, I have stood in those other market lines to board at Long Beach and heard random people talk. Looks like they are going after that other large line. I love it!

If Royal was to bring an Oasis or Quantum class they would so outclass 'that other line's' large 'Pan...' that RC would hand down win that route. Do a Coco (that already has name ID by the well known WC restaurant)  on the West Coast and go north from LA as well? Game Over.

Oh well, I can dream, can't I?

Catalina is an island.  Maybe RC can buy it ?

Checked yesterday on our 21 Nov Oasis sailing, saw the sail BUT, not good enough for me to jump on anything yet.   There was a premium drink package sale 2 months ago which was much better than what's being offered now.  (but that's a normal trend)

I hear you. It's almost like you have to check continually whenever a sale is announced.  The only good thing is you can purchase something and then if the price goes down can cancel and rebook at lower price.  But that does take a lot of free time always looking for that bargain!!

Yup...just saw the sale for my Nov cruise but I paid less when they had a sale about 3-4 weeks ago!  I will keep checking...hoping for perhaps even lower prices somewhere along the line!!

Sounds like a service a 3rd party should charge a fee for ?

You are very organized.  I just try to remember prices from one sale to the next.  Most items I get regularly so I know what price I'm looking for.  Those excursion prices are hard to remember.  Can I give you a list of excursions I want and you can notify me when I should buy them??

Latest CDC press conference...

I think part of it is theater. The CDC under the direction of the current administration is not inclined to do anything that would indicate a semi-return to normalcy for several reasons which have far more to do with politics than science. Its becoming more and more obvious that the CDC does not believe that the US populace are capable of their own risk mitigation. The CDC does not want to signal that the pandemic is coming to an end which lifting the no sail order would do. 
Meanwhile, cruise adjacent US jobs continue to be lost and the unemployed workers are suffering. 
Any hope I had because of all the recent pressure being out on the CDC to lift the no sail order before Oct 31 is starting to fade. 

I have it available on my November booking but way expensive for what it is at $26 a day...

This is why it's so critical to have a plan when new deployments open.  If you think you can wait and it will be the same the next day... think again.

I went in to check to see the prices on some cruises that I booked last night; price increase of $2250.  ?

I took a look at the excursion options which are part of the sale that just started but nothing seems interesting to me. Since we are on a 4-nighter only in December, I am pretty much going to stay on the ship and explore more and enjoy more of the onboard amenities! It is going to go FAST!

PS -- our J3 Junior suite in December 2021 went up by $350 from yesterday!
