I've rented a car one way each time from the rental place that is right near the port (walking distance to port or you can use their shuttle). It's only slightly more expensive than Lyft/Uber but you get the convenience of being able to drop off the rest of your party with the luggage at the port and then return the car.  Plus you can go shopping before you board for wine or other beverages.

I've done this before too. Was the best thing I did. One way rental to Cocoa Beach, dropped car off and at that time there was a free shuttle to the port, then after my cruise rented a car back to the airport. This was several years ago and now I would probably do the same, only this time I would just take a shuttle to the airport (maybe, it really wasn't expensive).

  2. Greeting fellow travelers!

After 3 cancelled cruises, we are super excited for a cruise we think will sail (cross your fingers for us!) We are already checked in even. We are sailing form Port Canaveral and are planning on coming in the night before. We are looking for a place to stay, and saw Go Port, which seems ideal. They offer a a hotel for a night, and transfers from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel to the terminal, and from the terminal to the airport all for one price.

I just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this and could let me know how it went. Good, bad, ugly is welcome. I guess what I am asking is whether or not it is worth it? I tend to worry and not dealing directly with the hotel is part of what concerns me. Thank you for your help!

I send a copy of my brokerage account. Only the single page that has the Royal Caribbean shares listed. I black out my account number. It has my name and the date is the most recent monthly statement issued. It has to be reasonably close to the sail date. Never had it rejected.

Is there a requirement for how long you need to own your shares, or is it just in proximity? I am ALMOST at enough shares to qualify for this and our next cruise is in November.

I sent them (E Med) a message from their support page, and this was the response I received:

I Asked specifically about 195-100 VS 195-200 and as you can see they did not address that question at all.

Well that is not very helpful. I "think" that the 195-100 may be the card itself, and the kit with everything is 200, but I am not sure.

This document lists extended expiration dates for test with reference number 195-200, but everyone I know that have received their tests have reference number 195-100

Can anyone confirm if the document is for 195-100s as well as 195-200s? Are they different? Or is the 195-100 the card inside? Can anyone confirm since I cannot open my tests yet?

I know these are accepted with Royal for travel and you can buy a 6 pack for $150 +shipping through the website.  The State of Ohio actually offers these free of charge and can be picked up at most of our libraries.  I just went and got 3 to confirm they were the proctored version for our upcoming cruise next month.  I came home and used one to see how they worked and now we have the 2 for our travels next month.  So I would check with your state health departments and see if they offer rapid at home tests, I'm sure if Ohio is using eMed/Abbott then I am sure that many others are as well.

Hope this helps others.  We were just going to go the CVS route but this option is awesome and saves the $150 for the ship.

I'm from Ohio too and was JUST looking at this for our cruise in October. I am getting ready to snag a couple of tests as soon as the library restocks.

I am at about 50 days out and still not check in available on either the website or the app.  My ship has not been through a test cruise yet so I do not know if this impacts the check in availability but I assume it does.

I don't want to worry you, but are you sure your ship is sailing? I wasn't able to check in then finally at day 43, my Enchantment cruise got cancelled. Made me cry a little, but now I am on a ship that is already sailing. Hopefully 4th time is the charm!

I'm treating my kids and grandkids to the cruise.  I will limit the seapass cards for the grandkids to $15/day and the adults to $25/day that charges my credit card (if I can do this).  I guess that if the adults or grandkids want to do something more, they can go to the customer service desk and pay for what they want and have it put on their seapass cards.  I was wondering at check-in at the terminal if I need to be with seach stateroom occupant and make sure that the limits are set and that my credit card is charged.

Would you like another child/grandchild to make it an even 20? ??
