I saw that I had a refund on my credit card for $99.99 five times and put it together that our All Access tour was cancelled since it's no longer on our calendar for our Oasis, Dec 26th cruise. I didn't get an email about it (that's been the name of the game for me). I'm wondering if anyone else also had their tour cancelled, and if RC gave a reason...?
I heard they stopped it for “health and safety reasons” for now

They are not allowing unvaccinated persons. May be best to cancel and have a ship day.
We def want to go on shore. We did our part and booked an excursion as required, that included children etc. now it’s obviously changed, but just for the excursion it seems. I would gladly switch. To something else, But like I said since it’s next week, and this just changed, all or almost all others are sold out

Covid test aside, it says that everyone must be of legal drinking age.
Yes to consume alcohol, not to actually go on the tour.

It says both. I'm not sure where you stand on this. Unless the excursion was less 48 hours after the kids got the covid test at the pier, I'd imagine you're SOL on this one for them to join you.
So confusing, this is like day 5 of cruise, so way past the 48 hours. As I said I would gladly change to a diff excursion, but almost all are sold out. Do you know even if it shows sold out, does royal or the ship hold a few spots back to be reserved on the boat etc?

We are on the November 21 st group cruise on Harmony, (next week) and was browsing the app a little while ago, and just noticed this in the notes of the excursion! I had booked it for my wife and 2 children under 12, long ago! I would just switch to a different excursion, because we do want to get off the boat and not leave the kids on the boat, but with it being so close to sailing almost all are sold out! I have not been notified at all by RC. Is this saying they are not allowing anyone unvaccinated or that they need to be tested 48 hours prior? the wording is a little conflicting!

Go to a machine , choose personal banking (your pin number is your month and day of your birthday) choose room charge and type the amount of your ODBC you want to take out . Print the ticket and take it to the machine.
But I guess it depends on the type of the ODBC , if it is something you got as promotion you might not be able to get it like that . If it is something you got as a results of price amusement or something like that you will get it if not used by the end of the cruise back to your CC.
It’s a obc as a result of the price going down. So your saying if it wasn’t used it go back to my cc?

The casino is the only way to get cash from your OBC
How would you do so? Just draw against your obc in the casino then cash out?

4 ( 2 adults/2 children) I would normally rent a car, but the rental prices because of car shortages/ all the other stuff going on, are insanity right now. I keep checking!

I wonder if Harmony will offer luggage valet when it begins service at PCN.
I take that back I just found a decent deal on a rental, so i booked it! wasn't that last time I checked !

@twangsteror anyone else, we are doing the RCB group cruise on November 21, and return November 28th, (sunday) and our flight home isnt untll 8pm at night, we looked at the excursion as it was available through the cruise planner, but its kind of pricey etc, and it states they need a certain amount of people for the tour to go, so was looking to go on our own, I have no problem spending the $ on an uber/lyft, but my question is, any idea what to do with luggage /bags while we did that.

Just a thought , some one want to weigh in on, Rent a car. there are a few rental agencies near the port. Then you're not locked into time constraints and no problem with luggage..
Thank you! Normally thats what I would do but, the price of rentals are ridiculously high with the car shortage etc etc. We need a larger size car or SUV to fit us 4 plus bags. So now just planning to use a uber/lyft type service.

So we are on the Nov 21. 2021 group cruise, Harmony Of the seas out of Port Canaveral. The final day of cruise our flight isn't till later on in the evening (7:45pm), so we were thinking of doing the space center. Seems to be a couple of options
option 1, with Royal through the excursions , that includes a guided tour, and then a ride back to airport. Also states that a certain amount of people must sign up for it to actually go etc. its a little pricey.
Option 2 is do it on our own etc, little cheaper and get our own ride to airport which is not a huge deal, might be better to go at our own pace since we have 2 children.
Question I have is if we do option 2, what do we do with our luggage in the mean time of visiting the space station? Anyone have any experience with a similar situation ? TIA

I luckily got that $235 round trip flight. We were 2nd guessing our thanksgiving week cruise as it was gonna cost us $2800 bucks round trip for 4 just to fly to Orlando from the NY area. Pretty much saved the trip at this point !

We are scheduled to go on the rcb group cruise in November 2021, and was looking at the possibility of purchasing the key. We usually buy the deluxe beverage package w the internet, (that is $58 pp )but if purchasing the key, would buy the drink package with out the internet (that’s $50pp) cause it comes w the key. The key is $21.99. I would have to purchase for myself wife and daughter who will be 7, my son who will be 4 would not need it, I guess ? Do you guys think it’s worth it to get the key. Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks in advance !

Correct. Most events are open to all, but there are a handful of events exclusive to those that booked with MEI.
You should be fine in terms of events and being part of the group (in the social sense). As @Lovetocruise2002 said, sometimes certain rooms cant be in the group rate, but if you are booked with MEI, they know you're in and will have same opportunities as someone with a group rate.
I am looking for or at an ocean view balcony, for 2 adults, 2 kids. I am going to reach out to my agent and make the switch! Let’s get back to cruising !

Not all cabins qualify for a group rate, but if MEI has group rates for cabins in your category then definitely you can get a re-price.
I haven’t switched to it yet, was just trying to gather as much info as possible. I def like the idea of being to attend some social events, meet new ppl etc

Absolutely. Just tell your Agent that you would like a quote for that cruise with the group rate.
Does that typically mean a better rate for it, as well?

So a little story here sorry in advance , I was originally booked on a Odyssey sailing for 3/2021, but that was obviously cancelled, we have since re booked on a diff cruise same week in 3/2021, but we are concerned cruising won't be 100% normal at that time, trust me I wish it was, but we are considering moving our cruise back to maybe November. March worked well because the kids were off for the week we were going etc. Looking at calendar and seem Thanksgiving would work well because we would only have to pull the kids out for say 2.5 days. So I was eyeing a few cruises that week and realized the royal caribbean blog group cruise is that week, on the Harmony, its a bit more then the other ones I am eyeing, but I have seen in the past there is some social events, excursions that happen with the group, am I correct? I am already booked with MEI, so if i do indeed switch my cruise to the group, is that still available to join in on? TIA

I was a victim of the most recent odyssey sailings cancelation, and chose to take the FCC and the OBC. In regards to the OBC how long does it usually or how long has it taken to show up, and will it show In my cruise planner login, I already have another cruise booked and want to use it for cruise planner purchases on there. TIA
Tortola excursions
in Shore Excursions
Posted
Maybe I can get some help/ insight on this.
we are on the 8/4 mariner of the seas 8 day cruise, we will be in Tortola on day 4 of our cruise , we have booked the 4x4 beach adventure. It says it goes at 8:30am and is 3.5 hours. Meaning we should be done by 12pm. Think it would be ok to do a 2nd excursion that starts at 1pm? We are thinking/ wanting to go to Jost van dyke. There is an excursion that has a 1pm start time. So my questions are
will we be able to do both?
thinking of booking the escape to jost van dyke via royal so we make sure we get back to the boat.
has anyone done multiple excursions in 1 port?
thanks in advance for your replies!
