  1. An opportunity to test protocols. Need to establish confidence in both positive and negative events.
  2. Building the itinerary folder and breaking out the cruise supply/clothing boxes for pre-sort depending upon itinerary
  3. Forgot you can also just turn things inside out to get and extra day or two.
  4. Sounds like normal vacation behavior - that's what its all about.
  5. Absolutely - Retreat (even better) on the revolutionized and Edge class. But the laundry is unique to Celebrity Capt Club perk and comes in handy for the longer trips or B2B. We hate packing a lot of stuff so its a good perk. Been booking suite class anyway so Retreat/Michaels already included.
  6. Trip to Norway I took a cruise to Norway and brought along my SUV to explore the country for a few weeks. While unloading my vehicle from the ship, the cable broke, dumping the car into the water. Now I have a Fjord Explorer.
  7. Better laundry benefit on Celebrity ?
  8. Anyone clued in on whether test cruises will be conducted only on the RCL line or will all the partner lines like Celebrity, Azamar, and SilverSeas have their own test cruises?
  9. Need to be competitive. I've seen that on other high end lines. The higher level cabin you book, the higher on the priority list to get on more popular excursions.
  10. Its an eye chart but a lot of great information - Thanks!
  11. Well my Mar '21 cruise is now on a respirator - so maybe June '21
  12. Just spoke to my TA about my 8 Mar 21 - its dead, but the line won't cancel until after first of the year (after all final payments are collected). In fact, March is probably mort as a whole.
  13. Today's Power-up game gave a hint on where Celebrity might start. It was a survey request for a number of "short" sampler itineraries beginning April 2021. Two, 3, 4 and 5 day cruises in the Carribean. Early Alaska - 5 day, going to 7 in the Summer. Key West is still a stop for Summit on the Carribean sampler. Guess with reduced loading and ship size they can stay under the visitor limit set by the local vote. Discussed with my TA after playing the game and she confirmed they're shooting for samplers in the spring. Thought Europe could be close to normal in the summer, but US departures limited until Q3-4. Said it was a port issue at a number of locations. So hints of April start for Celebrity.
  14. Could only see it work if there is legislative relief. Any other option to make it work?
  15. I can get on-board with your point, but I don't have a warm fuzzy non-US ports would accept US citizens without a quarantine period or vaccine verification. So just booking a flight to a non-US port might not be practical. Now hearing it may not be until Q3 '21 before a majority of Americans have an opportunity for vaccine. Going to be a cash issue for the lines if something doesn't help relieve pressure. Just collecting deposits isn't going to cut it.
  16. Agree with the "O"-class comment. We did the Med on Symphony - but spent all our port time off ship and really didn't get a chance to do all the "ship things" we wanted to do. Save those O - class for tired/repeat itineraries or if you're less mobile and have less interest in disembarking. They're resorts unto themselves.
  17. Good points about the work VISAs but wasn't thinking about long term. I brought it up because Richard Branson had plans to introduce and promote the Scarlet Lady operating as a restaurant over a weekend in NYC harbor. Of course interested parties had to make advanced reservations to get a dining spot. The promotion was called off when the plague broke out. Wondered if the approach could be dusted off and applied elsewhere. https://www.exploretock.com/virginvoyagesrazzledazzle
  18. Anyone know if a cruise ship can just stay at a port (not sail) and operate as a hotel/restaurant resort? Might be another way to test food services and hotel side health protocols in addition to ships that sail.
  19. I'm already booked for one in June '21 from Venice. But who know if either leg will happen or whether we'll have to cancel out on one of them.
  20. Much better way of doing things. I get a kick out of the emergency horn sound you can play.
  21. Wow, that '22 rate is 2X what we had on Edge in Nov '20. Was supposed to sail Edge again this month but we were cancelled as everyone else. In your camp, for those prices its time to look at the most inclusive like Azamara or Silverseas if there isn't an adjustment. There will be a rate adjustment when we get out of these crazy times. Penned up demand is stoking those rates - but its a bubble
  22. Why don't zombies like pirates? They're too salty...
  23. That sounds totally believable. Throw in alcohol, and its way over the top.
  24. Have any agents or others announced to run a Youtube vlog on this one?
  25. Probably time to cull the fleet. A couple of the M class are tired despite the "Revolution upgrade" . We sailed Alaska on Millennium after upgrade and were underwhelmed.
