What did the vertebrae say when returning from vacation? I'm back!
-
Which is why I continue to believe the Alaskan season also will be pushed so far right as to be insignificant. Could see it start and end in Sept.

What do you call an Australian visiting England on vacation? Returning to the scene of the crime.

For Christmas, I bought my wife a world map and gave her a dart. I told her to throw it and wherever it lands, we will go on vacation after this pandemic is over. Turns out we are spending two weeks behind the fridge.

Freedom of the Seas first Test Cruise in July
cruisellama replied to DanielB's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
This late test cruise approval is why I'm still skeptical about a useful Alaskan season. Feels like these are going to be drawn out through the summer. Carnival announced test cruising from Galveston. -
I forgot my coffee this morning so I'm gonna drive on the rumble strips along the side of the road all the way to work just to be safe.

With the rise of self-driving vehicles, it's only a matter of time before we get a country song where a guy's truck leaves him too.

Particularly with the remainder of 2021, there's an appearance chaos as itineraries are cancelled re-planned, moved. We still don't have a handle on gov't help. It looks like "make it up as we go along " until the dust settles. I sure the lines are just as frustrated as they try to build itineraries based upon the "rules of the day". Unfortunately the guests are the flee at the end of the dogs tail.

Requiring Vaccine...so no Fla.?
cruisellama replied to SteveinSC's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I understand why - the desire to mitigate risk as much as possible just to move forward. I don't like gov't mandates, but I would not disagree it is a valid additional risk mitigation action (looks good). Then you build off the success and requirements will hopefully back off. -
Celebrity requiring PCR test for UK cruises
cruisellama replied to Mike.s's topic in Celebrity & SilverSea
If you're fully vaccinated, that requirement is a bridge too far for me. I would sail from locations that honor the vaccination status. My bookings start in Nov '21, and I hope things are a little more sane by then. -
And now Summit will start sailing from Alaska on July 23rd with 7-day itineraries from Seattle. Refreshing news - please no more false starts.

Until we start sailing - we continue our voyages in the sea of speculation.

Using Loyalty benefits on Celebrity cruises
cruisellama replied to Mike.s's topic in Celebrity & SilverSea
I was incorrect. After checking Azamara website , FAQs, points collected on Azamara are still transferred to Celebrity, and vice versa. And Royal/Azamara status are still honored until further notice. Further verified by my TA. -
Carnival announces Alaska cruises in 2021
cruisellama replied to Matt's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
The CDC can still service as firewall for someone's agenda. Let the legislative and executive branch approve, but the "scientists" keep it from happening. Politicians then hide behind the bureaucrats and say, "We did everything we could to save AK jobs, but the scientist don't think its safe..." Just being cynical. -
A Hole in our Yard - Another Not a Cruise Live Blog

Weather hasn't helped with all the rain. At least the rain should be testing those French drains that are being installed. -
One of those ducks is a nurse.

Even if cruising starts this summer/fall, I imagine duck season may be delayed a bit. Of course may not be many children on the early cruises. Thoughts, maybe a 2022 season?
-
So many options you may want to book another cruise! ?
