  1. On one of my cruises that's been cancelled now, I was able to both put it in my cart AND complete the transaction; I'm wondering if Chops was closed for "The Key" luncheon, which has now moved to the MDR?
  2. If you want the points refunded, I would contact PlayStudios support (the folks who make MyVegas, MyKonami, etc.) and explain that you'll be cancelling your cruise. Ask if you can get a point refund. If they allow it, they'll likely just tell you to send a screenshot confirming you cancelled your cruise (if you booked through a TA, I'd ask them for an email confirming it's been cancelled, and if through RCCL, I'd explain the same and request something) and they'll need the reward code. I was able to get a points refund on a cruise I cancelled -- though it's a sailing that falls within the "Cruise With Confidence" period, so I dunno if that made a difference. If they give you a point refund. Here's a link to the PlayStudios support site. Just hit the "Contact" button in the upper right and fill out the form. Alternatively, if you wanna try to move the OBC to another date, I'd contact Club Royale via email at [email protected]
  3. Why did the cowboy decide to adopt a dachshund? He wanted to get a long little doggie.
  4. Speaking of prices, if anybody's interested in doing a Alaska cruise late in the season (if they go forward...please, let them go forward!), check out prices on August and September 2020 sailings!
  5. Oh, man...you knew it was coming, but you couldn't look away. It was one of those slow-motion moments!
  6. This is where I'm at, too. I've got more than one refund coming back, and already have my FCC from another cruise, so I'm just awaiting the funds to return to my account whenever that might be. Yes, I could use that money right now, but honestly, I'd already planned for it to be out of my account, so waiting is not really an issue for me.
  7. 2 men walked into a bar. The third one ducked.
  8. On this day (April 5) in 1958, the Canadians blew up a mountain, helping create part of the beloved Inside Passage! Read more here!
  9. I was just pricing out upgrades to my Christmas cruise on Grandeur, and it turns out if my June cruise is cancelled, I'll be able to make a fairly inexpensive jump to a balcony cabin on Grandeur in December. Heck, before final payment is due in September, maybe even the leap to JS would be reasonable. I suddenly feel much more calm about all of this, knowing that whenever I cruise, I'll be able to treat myself. My obsessiveness has been in high gear since I booked my first RC cruise back in January, and my anxiety has been in fairly high gear since all of this started back in early March.
  10. Why is being in a magic act so tough on rabbits? Hare today...gone tomorrow.
  11. I'd honestly be fine with either having it refunded or being able to use it on my December cruise. In fact, I'm hoping for the latter -- that's why I was wondering.
  12. Because of the Canadian port closures, Royal changed the itinerary of my June 4 cruise on Adventure, taking out the Canadian ports and replacing them with an overnight in Bermuda. When they changed the itinerary, they offered us the choice of 100% refund, 125% FCC, or OBC based on your cabin type ($250 for interior, oceanview, and balcony, and $450 for suites). They're making the OBC refundable. If they cancel, I know I'll get either the 100% refund or the 125% FCC, but my question is: what happens to that OBC? Will it be available for future use?
  13. I certainly don't know the exact answer, but this was my first thought as to why.
  14. Did you hear about the chameleon who couldn't change color? He had a reptile dysfunction.
  15. We're all having to make very difficult, very personal decisions, and honestly, I don't think there's a wrong way to approach this, as long as you're making the most informed, conscious decision for yourself and those in your life. I certainly don't fault the people who, like you, are deciding not to cruise...and I certainly can't blame the people who *will* decide to cruise if their cruise goes ahead. I'm one of those people, and I know I will be taking the utmost precautions while aboard, and I'm going to be very thankful for the aft balcony that I'll have. Between now and then, since I'm on work-from-home status for what is likely a very long stretch through the end of the year, I'm being very conscious of where I go and how I interact with the people and environment when I get there. And 99.4% of the time, it'll be the grocery store, and only with an "attack plan" -- list, awareness of what aisles everything is in, and self-scan app on my phone ready so I can immediately bag things and then go to self-checkout and do contactless payment. I'm making the decision to cruise if I'm able for the sake of my mental health...but if anyone or anything gives me any indication that it is a very obvious risk, I will not hesitate to cancel. I wish you and everyone the best of luck in all of this!
  16. Yikes...mine for June on Adventure (fingers, eyes, and toes crossed!) is sitting at $51. As long as it holds there, I'll basically be getting a $10/day drink package with the OBC they're giving me. I really hope they drop on other sailings -- that's a hefty per-day price, even on the soda package! ?
  17. A man sits near another man on a bus. "How's it goin'?" he asks the guy. "Um...I'm pretty sure the wheels go 'round and 'round."
  18. I dunno if I missed it somewhere, but, just a heads up... "Virtual of the Seas" is heading out again on 4/5 (a Sunday), heading for a 7-day virtual trip from Seattle to Alaska! ?
  19. A grasshopper hops into a bar and orders a beer. The bartender's a bit taken aback. "A beer? Ya sure, pal? Y'know...we've got a drink named after you!" "Oh, yeah?" the insect asks. "You've got a drink called 'Irving'?"
  20. A pirate walked into a seaside tavern and asked for a drink. The bartender, turned away from the bar when the buccaneer walked in, pours the drink, but nearly drops it when he notices the sailor has a giant ship's wheel stuck to the front of his pants. "Uh, capn'," the bartender says, "I hope you don't mind me askin', but what's with that-thar wheel?" "Arrr...this thing?" The pirate asks. "|t drives me nuts."
  21. Did you hear about the diminutive psychic who broke out of jail? She's a short medium at large.
  22. Can confirm. I had to do this with the last cruise I booked. After doing so, it popped up.
  23. All of these! Plus, enjoying a bit of "me time" on my aft balcony!
  24. The last sentence is why I'm confused.
  25. Okay, I finally got connected with someone at RCCL via Twitter, and they looked into my FCC that's coming out of a cancellation I made the day after the original "Cruise With Confidence" offer came out. She said she's located my FCC and will get it to me via email in the next day or two. Now, my question: based on what I'm reading above, am I right thinking that these "Cruise with Confidence" FCCs can't be used on a cruise that's already fully paid? I know people have said that FCCs they've gotten previously and applied toward fully-paid bookings then get refunded to their credit card as a refund due to excess payment. If I'm reading these new rules right, if I were to try to apply it to an existing, fully paid booking, the overage would just come back to me as an FCC. Am I reading this right? But I could use the CWC FCC on a cruise I have booked in December that's not paid in full with no problems. Brain, officially fried.
